5.0 classic
Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin II
Megadeth Rust in Peace
This is the album that got me into metal, and for good reason. The guitar tandem of Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman has never been better. The solos are ripping, the rhythm couldn't be any tighter, Menza couldn't pound away in any better way. The lyrics are good, and the songwriting is great. Just an absolute must have classic for everyone.

4.5 superb
Built to Spill You in Reverse
This is just a great album, all of the instrumentation is spot on. I love how the band uses three guitar players, you can get some really interesting and complex lines this way. The songwriting is very nice, and the playing just floors me. There is a good mix of variety in the music, though you can definately tell it is all from one band.

Dream Theater Octavarium
Incubus (USA-CA) S.C.I.E.N.C.E.
If deep down inside you have a soft spot for funk, you will love this album. It consists of hard rock/metal guitar playing, jazzy drumming, funky bass playing, and a singer who can sing however the hell he wants to. You can still here the Mr. Bungle influence that Incubus cites in this album. It isn't as weird as fungus but the music is even better.
