It is underrated, and goes largely unknown by now. It's very experimental, and could probably even transcend genres. Whether it's the amusing lyrics of The Grouch, the blaring punk of Platypus, and Take Back, the repetive, quick, yet original guitar of Uptight, the surf music of Last Ride In, the overly-catchy chorus of Haushinka, the harmonica in Walking Alone, or horns in King For A Day, or even the acoustic guitar, and violin of the sad and somber Good Riddance, I can almost gurantee Nimrod will have a song that fits your taste.Linkin Park Hybrid TheoryRed Hot Chili Peppers Blood Sugar Sex MagikOnce I heard RHCP's most recent release, Stadium Arcadium, I didn't think it could get much better. I've always loved the single Under The Bridge, due to it's unforgettable chorus, and somewhat somber verses, but I wondered what the rest of this album would contain. The rest does not resemble that song, nor their latest release in the slightest. It is a sort of mixture of hard rock, classic rock, funk, and rap, that possibly no other band would be able to duplicate, and contains utterly profaned, amusing, sexual lyrics, especially when compared to Stadium Arcadium, where the lyrics are serious, and somber, and sometimes don't complety make sense. When I heard the opening track, The Power of Equality, I was surprised, yet delighted to hear Kiedis sounding pissed, proud, loud, and saying the "f-word." If You Have To Ask, which is rap, the title track, The Righteous & The Wicked, and I Could Have Lied, all particualarly deserve a listen, as do the rest of the songs, though none can match this album's massively popular single. BloodSugarSexMagik is actually my favorite album at the moment, and will be for awhile.Red Hot Chili Peppers Stadium Arcadium4.0 excellentAC/DC Highway To HellEminem The Marshall Mathers LPEminem The Slim Shady LPEminem The Eminem ShowGreen Day WarningMetallica Master Of PuppetsNirvana NevermindRed Hot Chili Peppers CalifornicationStaind Break The CycleSublime SublimeVarious Artists (Hip Hop) 8 Mile OSTThe soundtrack to Eminem's 2002 movie 8 Mile is rather good. The album has an impressive list of Artists. It introduced the world to Obie Trice and 50 Cent, features tracks from Eminem of course, and impressively enough has a few songs from legends such as Nas or Rakim. The only other things I would want on here, is a Dre, Ice Cube, or Tupac track, maybe even one of each, though it still hold's strong without those three rap legends Having no Dre track on here was particularly disappointing, since he is still Em's primary producer, and got him started out. And for the two R&B-type, softer songs, I would have preferred some Dido or something like that. It holds solid, with most Eminem tracks, 50's Wanksta, D12's song(where all 6 members appear, plus 50 appears to give the song a great chorus), and Nas's track all serving as highlights.3.5 greatEvanescence FallenGreen Day InsomniacGuns N' Roses Chinese DemocracyMetallica Kill 'Em AllN.W.A.
