It's a mess. He described them as melodic death/black metal, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. It's what Killswitch Engage would be if Howard screamed more and they played some crappy solos. It's mainstream metalcore, only a bit heavier. And with more double bass drumming! The vocalist's scream is weak (a wussier version of the dude from Shadows Fall) and his clean vocals are pretty bad. It's not that his voice is whiny or anything, it's just...bad. Some of the solos are alright, but many times they feel forced. The riffs are shoddy and the drummer relies too much on his double bass pedal. Oh, and "Dark-Haired Girl" is probably the worst "ballad" I've ever heard. Don't waste your time with this shit.1.0 awfulSimple Plan Simple PlanSoundtrack (Film) Nightmare Revisited
