Johnny Truant summon a beast from hell. No more obvious melody, and more importantly, no more songs that feel as if they were abondoned in the writing process. Johnny truant have found thier sound, and it sounds great. The album contains elelments from Reprocussions and Library of Horrific Events. I listened to album over and over again, and everytime, there's something suprising. No song sounds the same, nor are there any repitition. Stuart and Rueben's thrashing of strings are heavy, epic and atmospheric. The bass is almost seemless unless you're pounding it on a 1200 watt system with a giant subwoofer. And, Paul Jackson's drums are excellent as always, and keep you intriqued with the flow and sequencing of the songs. Olly Mitchell throws out his over use of high pitch screams and only use them at the most vital of bits, and conducts yet an interesting set of lyrics that appeals to every song as if it told one story. If you loved thier previous work, this will impress you. The prouction and bass is the only set back, but not on an annoying or extreme level. Buy it.
