Blaze band is as good as on the first album keeping its heavy sound, now being a bit more optimistic than on Silicon Messiah. The story with sci-fi motives is very nice, maybe could be one or two tracks shorter. To me, the album sounds more consistent, but many Blaze fans prefer Silicon Messiah over this one. Top songs: Kill and Destroy, The Tenth Dimension, Meant to Be for example, but being it a concept album, the album should be listened in its entiretyDream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a MemoryWell, my first Dream Theater album and after listening to it I am afraid of buying another DT album. This one is really excellent, I like concept albums and this kind of music, but everybody says that this is their best and this scares me a bit. I cannot deny that the band is very technically skilled and they are showing it, sometimes walking at the edge of boredom, but I have not much problems with it as long as the music remains melodic and nice to listen. I like Pink Floyd and Mike Oldfield and this album is quite of the same style and I listen to it again and again since buying (some two weeks ago). I like almost every track on this album, Home and The Spirit Carries On being really outstanding, the latter sounding very pink-floydish which I appreciate. Now I wonder why did it take me so long to buy it :-)Iron Maiden The X FactorIron Maiden A Matter Of Life And Death4.0 excellentBlaze Bayley Silicon Messiah (as Blaze)Really great album. Blaze Bayley shows his qualities on this dark and heavy piece. Now he was able to do what he wanted not being controlled by Steve Harris and the others. Sci-fi motives are another bonus for us, sci-fi lovers, songs about machines ruling the world and about defending our own identity and crossing our limits. Top songs: Silicon Messiah, Stare at the Sun, The Brave, others perfect as well, maybe with an exception of Reach for the Horizon.Blaze Bayley As Live As It Gets (as Blaze)Blaze Bayley The Man Who Would Not DieWell, music style of Blaze Bayley shifts a bit again. While Blood and Belief sounded heavier than the first two BLAZE albums, it still sounds soft compared to The Man Who Would Not Die. Needs several listens to sink, but at the end, the listener is amazed by the great work Blaze and his colleagues put out. It is hard to recommend some tracks because the album lacks fillers if I may say so. probably While You Were Gone is a stand out track.Genesis A Trick of the Tail3.5 greatBlaze Bayley Blood & Belief (as Blaze)At the first listen, I was not very satisfied with this album. The sound is different than on my favourite Tenth Dimension. The lyrics sound a bit repetitive and weaker, the music sounds simpler. But after some listens, I am happy to say that this album is really good. Blaze sounds angrier and heavier, reflecting singer's mood and thoughts of that time. Top songs: Ten Seconds, Blood and Belief, Life and Death, Regret. The most weird song is probably Hollow Head, but I like it mostly for its ironic sound.Mike Oldfield Light + ShadeNightwish Angels Fall FirstThis is funny, reading reviews, this seems to be a bit weak album, which should be avoided by people new to Nightwish, but when I started to listen to Nightwish - first three albums - Angels Fall First easily won, sounding fresh, new, original. Others sounded like attepts to surpass this album. First part of Lappi - great, Angels Fall First - great, Elvenpath - great, etc. etc., intro to Tutankhamen! Blast it! Amazing! Maybe other parts of Lappi are not that good and something here and there, but in overall, really interesting album worth buying.3.0 goodBlaze Bayley Alive in PolandWell, my first live recording of Blaze - He sings quite well, sometimes sounds false, but the band members messed songs too much, especially the drummer. Definitely some great tracks were played (and played prefectly), but in overall, I would suggest starting with something else, if you are new to Blaze Bayley's solo work.Blaze Bayley Best OfWell, this album contains no new or rare material hence it is not needed for those who have all the previous studio and live releases. Well - Living Someone Else's Life could be an exception as it has been released olny as a bonus track on the second CD of the limited release of the Tenth Dimension. The selection is quite good - some songs could be probably replaced by others, but good anyway.Metallica Master Of PuppetsWell, I prefer a bit softer and more melodic music, several songs on this album are sounding too same (I don't care much for lyrics), but definitely, for the title song Master of Puppets, Sanitarium and Orion, this album is worth buying. I do not know if this is their best or not, what I know is that this album is not easy to be heard in one run, If you are not a true metal-head :-)
