This is the album that got me hooked on Marilyn Manson, it showed me the power of the darker side of music. This is one the best remix/cover album ever released (in my opinion anyway), It featured some amazing remixes from Portrait of an American Family, plus really good covers of Sweet Dreams, I put a spell on you, & Rock & Roll Nigger to name a few.
I was 13 years old when i first got the CD & the opening track The hands of small children really creaped the *** out of me, & then the eire sound of Twiggy's bass starts things off for Diary of a Dope Fiend. This is my favorite version of all the "Dope Hat" songs. I find this album to be alot better than Portrait, it has a better mood setting for the listener & its just erie. There are some tracks that are so weird they make you think what the hell is wrong with Mr. Manson. |
