5.0 classic
Megadeth Rust In Peace
Rust in peace is one the greatest alums ever. Starting out with the fast ,yet melodic Holy Wars, and ending with Polaris(Rust in Peace.) A true metal masterpiece from beginning to end. Dave Mustaine is relentless both musically and with plenty of social commentary. I've been a huge Megadeth fan for years, and this only made me love them more. Marty Friedman has plenty of great solos to go around, his work in Holy Wars alone is incredible. Listen for his middle eastern inspired solo before the biting, yet operatic end of Holy Wars. If you've never heard Megadeth. BUY IT!!! if you love thrash. BUY IT!!! This album can't be beat.
Metallica Master Of Puppets
Oh those were the days, when metal was real and Metallica was tearing the eardrums of metalheads a new one. Kill'em was their introduction, and a great one. Then came Ride the Lightning, continuing where they left off with Kill'em All. And then came Master Of Puppets argueably their best. Thrash bands everywhere realised the power of Metallica. Opening up with Battery and ending with Damage I.N.C., you are physically assaulted from beginning to end. This is a must have for any metalhead.

1.0 awful
Metallica St. Anger
Kill'em all, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, And Justice For All. These albums set the bar for all thrash bands and metal period. there will never be a band close to accomplishing the sucess of Metallica. Period. after nearly 4 years fans were treated to St. Anger, thanks, but no thanks. what happens when a band sits around for 3 years, argues about where and when to record, and is totally out of touch with their fans and reality in general? ...St.Anger. An uninspired, mostly chaotic sounding blend of noise and forced enthusiasm. They're back and angrier than ever, well after listening to St. Anger so am I. What everyone needs to understand is Metallica is no longer the band that made the early, metal altering classics of yesteryear. They are a band that is comprised of millionaires, and seem to be nearing the end. I hear people basically say what I'm saying but then say,"well at least they tried to go back to their thrash roots." Understand this. Metal is not fake, all this album was for metallica was another paycheck.
