The music flows deep within from his heart like a lonely sad river, finding its path amidst the eternal. For Emma, Forever Ago is a heart-touching record, masterpiece in its tenderness & truthfull in its expression. Seldom has world seen such a simplistic record being so huge in a criterion of emotion & inner depth. Structurally it's splendid, emotionally it's powerful, as a whole it's unique. Once you've embraced it, you'll never let go of it. Catchy rock hooks & beautifully sang melodies blend with enough progressivity to make this album sharp and functional. At first, it's the more easily accessible songs such as "Broken Bones" & "Silhouettic" which captures the listener's attention. The true greatness however lies beneath the latter half of this record where the atmospheric & structural brilliance shines through. Each band member succeeds in bringing their invidual effort to the entity. Above all it's the Ian Kenny's cleverly layed vocals that deliver the most of the emotion & power. "Universes" is an excellent record that yearns to be heard, not as progressive as Karnivool's "Themata" but enough to be tempting and still very accessible.Bon Jovi These DaysBreaking Benjamin PhobiaBryan Adams So Far So GoodCog Sharing SpaceCold 13 Ways to Bleed On StageCold A Different Kind of PainColdplay A Rush of Blood to the HeadColdplay ParachutesColdplay Viva la Vida or Death and All His FriendsDead Letter Circus Dead Letter Circusdredg Catch Without Armsdredg The Pariah, The Parrot, The DelusionEntwine DieversityFair to Midland Fables From a Mayfly: What I Tell You Three Times is TrueFinger Eleven The Greyest of Blue SkiesFinger Eleven Finger ElevenFlaw Through the EyesHIM Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666HIM Razorblade RomanceHurt Goodbye To The MachineIncubus (USA-CA) Make YourselfKatatonia Night Is the New DayKings of Leon Only By The NightMatthew Good AvalancheMemento BeginningsMinus the Bear Planet of IcePain of Salvation One Hour by the Concrete LakePain of Salvation 12:5Revis Places For BreathingSentenced The Cold White LightSevendust SeasonsSevendust Chapter VII: Hope and SorrowStaind Break The CycleStaind Chapter VSubmersed In Due TimeThe Fray How to Save a LifeThe Swell Season Once: Music From The Motion PictureThirty Seconds to Mars A Beautiful LieThree Days Grace One-XThrice Beggars3.5 great3 Doors Down Away from the Sun3 Doors Down Seventeen Daysa-ha Minor Earth Major SkyAlter Bridge AB IIIBreaking Benjamin SaturateBreaking Benjamin We Are Not AloneBryan Adams On a Day Like TodayCharon Songs For The SinnersSongs for the sinners is the fifth studio album of Finnish GothMetal group Charon. Since "The Dying Daylights" their sound has refined to somewhat heavier direction. Album flows naturally between slower compositions like "Air", "House of the Silent" and faster more energetic ones, for example "Colder", "Ride on Tears". Over this all hangs this dark longing atmosphere, which is very characteristic for the genre. Songs For The Sinners is album fulfilled with pain & melancholy striving towards powerful passion. That passion is expressed by singer JP Leppaluotos lowtuned voice, which works very well both in melodious choruses and more slowtempered verses. Guitarwork is solidly done, there are times it even fascinates and enriches you and the whole concept. Sadly Charons weakest point is the drummers very simplified & uninspiring playing style. Another minus comes from the dullness of the albums atmosphere. All in all "Songs For The Sinners" serves ten tasty & powerfull gothrock compositions in a neat package that's able to indicate moderate progress & growth.Charon The Dying DaylightsDark New Day Twelve Year SilenceDisturbed The SicknessDisturbed BelieveFinger Eleven Them vs. You vs. MeFoo Fighters Echoes, Silence, Patience & GraceFuel Natural SelectionGhost Brigade Isolation SongsKamelot Ghost OperaLinkin Park Hybrid TheoryLive Throwing CopperLive Birds Of PrayOpeth Ghost ReveriesPillar For the Love of the GameSevendust NextShinedown The Sound of MadnessStaind 14 Shades of GreySting Ten Summoner's TalesThirty Seconds to Mars 30 Seconds To MarsTrust Company The Lonely Position of Neutral3.0 good10 Years The Autumn EffectAmorphis Silent WatersBirds Of Tokyo Birds Of TokyoColdplay X&YDisturbed Ten Thousand FistsFuel Angels and DevilsHIM Venus DoomIncubus (USA-CA) Morning ViewIncubus (USA-CA) Light GrenadesMudvayne Lost and FoundPain of Salvation BePlacebo Sleeping with GhostsRa DualityRed (USA) End of SilenceSevendust AlphaStaind The Illusion of ProgressStone Sour Come What(ever) MaySubmersed Immortal VersesThe Butterfly Effect Begins HereThe Rasmus Into2.5 average3 Doors Down 3 Doors DownCrossfade Falling AwayDisturbed IndestructibleHoobastank The ReasonLive Secret SamadhiSeether Finding Beauty In Negative SpacesStone Sour Audio SecrecyThe Fray The Fray2.0 poorLinkin Park Minutes to Midnight1.5 very poorHoobastank Every Man for HimselfMudvayne L.D. 501.0 awfulSystem of a Down Steal This Album!
