Archers of Loaf Icky Mettle
At the Drive-In Vaya
At the Drive-In In/Casino/Out
Beastie Boys Paul's Boutique
The Beastie Boys most blatant funk/hip-hop influenced album. Absolutely jam-packed with wah pedal guitar fills, clangy harmonics and rough distortion. the rhymes are phenomenal, especially in tracks such as 'Shadrach' and 'Egg Man'. An incredibly solid album with originality and style to match.

the innovators of everything that is heard on this record. Joey's soothing voice flows through the middle of Johnny's and Dee Dee's sound monsoon in every song, with Tommy topping up the texture with his simle 4/4's and crashes. This album was the first ever real punk sound, and has stood the test of time. Most of the three-chord punk classics you've heard in your lifetime lie within this record.

Weezer Weezer
Weezers self-titled debut is a true alternative masterpiece. Euphoric upbeat punk songs such as 'surf wax america' and 'no one else' give a direct punch to the listener with fast catchy powerchord progressions. 'Buddy Holly' and 'My name is Jonas' prove to be the bounciest rock-outs of all time, with the softer tracks such as 'The world has turned' and 'In the garage' add to the nerd rock/ originality and alternativeness of the album. 'Say it ain't so' and 'the sweater song' are true weezer masterpieces, complete with clangy clean guitars and fabulous memorable solos. Blue can even boast the 7 minute epic 'only in dreams' as a closer. The Blue album is the essential album.

Eminem The Slim Shady LP
Eminem's debut is more than a masterful hip hop album. The lyrical talent displayed is simply enchanting. You'll be clutching your sides and rolling around on the floor with stories of sex, violence and excessive shroom abuse. Slim Shady's where it's at, shame he forgot to bring slim for his more recent releases.

Guns N' Roses Use Your Illusion I
Guns N' Roses Appetite for Destruction
Beautifully hard rock riffs, beautiful hard rock ego's and beautiful hard rock top hats. AFD has an amzing flow and originality about it. Axl's vocal range and tone is one of a kind and Slash's distinctive marshall sound is a force to be reckoned with. So many hard rock classics lie within this piece of plastic such as the chugging 'welcome to the jungle' and teh moderate paced rocker 'my michelle'. The solo's are fantastic and the musicianship is phenomenal, one of a kind album.r
Guns N' Roses Use Your Illusion

Joey Ramone Don't Worry About Me
Joey released this litlle gem whilst he was undergoing cancer treatment. A great way to hear Joey's goodbye to the world with tracks such as 'Don't worry about me' and 'what a wonderful world'. Much of the albums is very similar to Ramones pop-punk. A worthy release from a punk legend.
Johnny Truant In the Library of Horrific Events
Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin IV
Metallica ...And Justice for All
Heavy pounding drums, and fast chugging guitars. This is definately the heaviest metallica album, but don't be fooled, it is also one of the most melodic. The sheer beauty of 'One' and the direct technicality of 'Dyers eve' excel this album to a well deserved 4/5.
Modest Mouse This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About
Motorhead Inferno
Who can release albums for thirty years and still be coming up with kick ass material at the end of it? The Mighty Motorhead can. This albums shys away from traditional hard rock Motorhead, and more towards the loud, heavy metal Motorhead. 'In the name of tragedy' is a great catchy metal stomper, with a fantastic solo. 'Terminal show', boasts a fast and energetic riff, with one of Phil Campbells best solo's to date; and whorehouse blues introduces us to the bands more creative side. Long live Motorhead.

This is a very, very cool C.D, and here's my analogy of the record. Take a FOT song and a BTBAM piece, combine the sounds of both, take a 2 minute section from the result, thus creating the most ridiculous punk song ever created. Throw in a good amount of Dillinger whilst your at it.
that's rolo tomassi.

Metallica Master of Puppets
metallica's best songwriting went into this album. The epic 'Master of puppets' boasts a dual harmony, slow solo and fast solo, whilst other epic tracks such as the blissful 'Orion' and 'Leper Messiah' keep the album flowing well into the second half. The slower tracks 'Sanitarium' and 'The thing that should not be' don't let the album down at all. Sanitarium is beautifully melodic, whereas TTTSNB is a moderate speed metal rocker. Another one of 'Tallica's best.

Excessively whiney vocals, similar to the untimely death of a cat, but constant. The guitar work is poor and repetetive, the lyrics are all depressing and unoriginal. He is so vain that he dies in all of his videos. I don't feel sorry for you James, I just wish you had fatal dysentry.
