Manipulator is far from more of the same from the band. There are some songs like "Cut Down All The Trees..." and "A Man. A Plan. A Canal. Panama" that are very reminciscent of their older material, but for the most part their music has been completely revamped. The songs that take the bigest departure from their old stuff are Quarter Past and Caught Up. Both of these songs sound mainly influenced by good old-fashioned blues. Its hard to explain. In my opinion, its their best work yet, although some might dislike their slightly new sense of style, even though the crazy technicality and brutal parts are still in there if you look hard enough... (not sure what to rate it yet so I'll do that when I write the full review in a day or two) Edit: I just wrote a full review for this and fomr reason it erased it.
