Their song structure is never boring and always fresh, and the instrumentation is perfect as always. The only drawback to this album is that it's apparant that Bruce Dickenson's voice seems to have declined over the years. It just doesn't seem as powerful as it used to.Jack Johnson In Between DreamsA very good album that features a lot of good guitar playing. You can tell a good album when the individual songs are unique from eachother, and will provide for you based on whatever mood you might be in. Jack Johnson lays a bunch of ideas on the table with this album and for the most part, they all pay off very well. Better Together is a great opening track, and as the album goes on it provides a plethora of different track options.3.5 greatThom Yorke The EraserYorke gives his solo album a very skillful touch of electronic music while still allowing his classic instrumentation to show through. A very tasteful and pleasant album, which is something that can be rare these days, but there isn't anything groundbreakingly new in this album. That would be my only complaint.2.5 averageSunny Day Real Estate DiaryI find Sunny Day Real Estate's later stuff to be better and much more diverse than in Diary. In this album, the guitar has the same overdriven tone on most of the tracks. The vocals don't seem to add to the music any. It's an album that relies entirely on riffs, which aren't even particularly catchy. The songs individually aren't terrible, but they aren't anything new. It's average, at best.
