Hailing from japan, this four piece fuses technicality with catchiness. The music is very soothing and chill, borrowing styles from jazz, bossa nova, and funk to create a very unique sound. The prechorus in night light makes me want to dance the night away. However, the thing that holds the band apart back is their insistence on singing in english. Lead singer's airy japanese accented english at times ruins the mood.
The Band Apart are a rare treat from the Japanese Indie scene, don't miss out.
