Avenged Sevenfold Waking the Fallen
This was the first Avenged Sevenfold album I ever bought, and it straight-up rocks. My favorite song is "Chapter Four". And "Unholy Confessions" is an amazing song, too. It also remains heavier and more hardcore than City Evil. There is much more screaming than their newest album. But the bottom line is, this album is truly amazing, so if you don't yet own it, go out and buy it, or download "Chapter Four" and if you like that, buy the album.

Green Day American Idiot
This band used to be a chart-topping pop-punk group with poppier, immature songs. Now they're just 'okay' with this recent album. I guess they have moved on to more mature and meaningful songs. Oh well, they were great when they were still more punk. But it is a good album, I must admit.

Various Artists Bam Margera Presents: Viva La Bands
I am a big fan of Bam Margera, so when I saw this album, I was pretty happy about it. It has some good tracks on it. Some of my favorites include "Soul On Fire" by Him, "Cold Black Days" by Atrocity, "King of Rock n'Roll" by Daniel Lioneye, and "Familiar Realm" by CKY. The album has a good collection of rock favorites, but I have to admit that I was excepting more. Half of these bands I'd never even heard of before. But I guess that's good because if you hear a new band, it can turn you on to a new style of music. I am not by any means a Bam poser, I just think the guy is a good skater and a hilarious kid. Okay so that was corny. But anyway, if you want a nice collection of rock favorites, than you want Viva La Bands.

Atreyu Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses
This was a recommendation from a friend. Atreyu is his favorite band. He let me hear a song or two and I didn't absolutely love it, but I didn't absolutely hate it, either. So I went out and bought this pice of crap. When I was reading the lyrics I noticed some explicit content throughout the album. I told my parents, and they made me get rid of it (they don't allow me to buy explicit stuff). I popped it into the player to see what I was missing out on before I sent the thing back. Wow. I wasn't very impressed. Sure, it had some nice guitar riffs here and there, but the "singer" was so harsh and pig-sounding that I couldn't even understand what he was saying. The whole thing was just a jumble of screams and heavy metal wannabes. Now, I'm not trying to offend the Atreyu fans out there, I'm just saying that in my opinion they suck. I wasted my money and was not satisfied with this album.
