The Clash London Calling: Legacy Edition
The original London Calling LP is undoubtedly one of history's greatest albums.
Not only is it The Clash at their very best, but also because the album is absolutely unique in my ears. The album crosses so many different genres and styles it is a real beauty to listen to for the first time, as you never know exactly what the next song is going to be like, quite unlike other punk bands like The Ramones, who (though also brilliant) can become a tad monotonous.
Personal favourites include London Calling, I'm Not Down, Guns of Brixton and Clampdown.
And the Vanilla Tapes really complete the album. Though a lot of the songs are the same, some of the songs that didn't make the cut are IMO very, very good.
The documentary is also well worth checking out. It tells the story of The Clash and this album like no other documentary about the band thus far. Excellent stuff.

Hasn't anyone made a review of this yet? I'm very, very surprised.

Seeing the influence they obviously had on Metallica (Am I Evil?, The Prince, It's Electric and Helpless were all covered on Garage Inc., nuff said), these guys will, despite having huge problems (mostly related to the way the record company treated them, not drugs) afterwards and never conjuring another masterpiece, always be a part of the Heavy Metal-elite.

Oh, and the album really does deserve all possible recognition. It really is a masterpiece. Such a shame that they never managed to follow it up.

Definitely their best album since There is Nothing Left to Lose. Was very disappointed with ESPG, thought they were heading towards a dead end of blandness and I'm so happy to be proved wrong.

Kaizers Orchestra Ompa Til Du Dor
This album is a masterpiece, no doubt about it. The music is completely unlike anything you'll ever encounter, hence it is impossible to tell anybody what/who they sound like. They are Kaizers Orchestra, and no-one else. The best tracks are the title track, Ompa Til Du Doer (translated easily to Oompa 'Till You Die) and Kontroll Paa Kontinentet (Control on the Continent). The rest isn't quite as strong, hence "only" the 4 rating, but is still well worth checking out.
Oh, and if you ever get the chance, go to one of their concerts. They really are the best live band I've ever seen.

Pearl Jam Vs.
Pearl Jam Lost Dogs
As a big Pearl Jam fan, I was very excited about this album at the time when it came out, and I must say I was not disappointed at all.
The first disc of this album is undoubtedly the best. If we could replace Hold On and In The Moonlight with Wash, Last Kiss and Dirty Frank we would IMO have all the best songs on one album. Having so many good songs on an album containing only B-sides and rarities must say something about this band.
Disc 1: Rating 4,5. Favourite tracks: Down, Education, You (or U), Undone, Yellow Ledbetter. Easily the best disc, no real letdowns at all.
Disc 2: Rating 3,5. Favourite tracks: Wash, Dirty Frank, Last Kiss. Nowhere near as good as the first disc, but still very good.

It's definitely an improvement on Lunar Strain for me, mostly because I dislike Stanne's vocal style and even though Forss is similar it's still a small improvement. The song Subterranean is definitely one of my top 5 In Flames tracks.

Some great melodies and all that, but Stanne's vocals do absolutely nothing for me, I just find him annoying. However, it still gets a 3 from me for the melodies, some of which are absolutely fantastic and if I disregard the vocals the album would be a 4 for me.
