More of these songs are too long than aren't. Maybe if they had just shaved it down and taken out so many unnecessary riffs and just threw an extra solo in over a unique rhythm they would have turned out better. Of course this album is good, but it almost feels like what St. Anger should have sounded like, then whatever album came out now would be the sound where Metallica TRULY found the pocket.

Alter Bridge Blackbird

Death Leprosy
Lordi The Arockalypse
The riffs aren't bad, neither is the orchestration. Unfortunately, they aren't anything special either. The solos and vocals are pretty good. However, the basic pop song structure in the majority of these tracks just makes the verses a pain to sit through. If the album had more than just solos and hooks, I'd probably give it a 4.
