Koji Kondo The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time OST
Koji Kondo The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony
Linkin Park Hybrid Theory
Thrice Major/Minor
The best album Thrice has ever done, and there are a lot of contenders for that position. Brimming with energy and emotion; simple Thrice perfection.

Radiohead In Rainbows

Thrice Vheissu
Experimenting with a sound never before heard from Thrice, they reach a new plateau even beyond that of Artist in the Ambulance. Without this album, there would be no Alchemy Index or Beggars. What a sad, lonely universe that would be.
Thrice Beggars
Where's The Alchemy Index influences? Vheissu? The greatly progressive sounds they've developed over the past few years have been suddenly dropped to the floor in favour of a bare bones, alternative rock-esque style. And yet, it's still damn awesome.

Linkin Park A Thousand Suns
Linkin Park have thankfully found a winning, engrossing sound after departing from their nu-metal roots. Laid back, experimental and almost without a hint of distorted guitar or frenetic, fast paced drumming, A Thousand Suns bounces enthusiastically out of, and perhaps because of, Minutes to Midnight's nose dive and soars.

Worth it if only for 'Daedalus.' Oh, you want more? Well, the entirety of Air is magnificent and unequivocally the success story of The Alchemy Index. Earth, with its (pardon the pun) down-to-earth and minimalist roots, proves once again that Thrice can do whatever the hell they want and still sound amazing.

Sarah Fimm Karma Phala
This is my introduction to Sarah Fimm, and I must admit I was not expecting such well crafted material, at this volume, at this price (which is absolutely nothing). Sarah has compiled a large assortment of her discography while including previously unreleased songs and it's simply mind boggling that she would be willing to give it away for free. A lot of her work prescribes to the theory of 'less is more' and what brilliant results it nets. Her music is smooth, flowing and dream-like, built by sombre piano, haunting strings and guitar, and the talented, mellifluous voice of Sarah Fimm herself. Tracks such as 'Afraid', 'Orchids' and 'Lavender's Blue' are fantastic examples, while songs such as 'Sing' showcase a bouncier, vibrant theme with the sunny strumming of guitar. A real gem, and unbelievably, it's free! There's no reason not to try it.

Their first album has hints of greatness, unfurled in such tracks as 'Breathe Into Me,' 'Pieces' and 'Let Go', but the near replication of sound in every other song keeps Red from soaring.

The Fray How to Save a Life
While in many ways How to Save a Life is unoriginal and takes no risks, The Fray have created a compelling debut album. A certain x factor, which relies heavily on the charming vocals of Isaac Slang, enrich the songs with a lively energy or a plaintive atmosphere that makes this band stand out from its peers.
