| Well, I was gonna do a full review for this album, which I picked up on a whim, for I rather enjoy Lacuna Coil's other music, but my opinion is, for all intents and purposes, almost identical to that of the other reviewer, so why waste people's time right. The music on this album is horribly redundant and bland, and Cristina Scabbia, who is one of the best singers in metal today, spends more time moaning like she's getting off than she does singing. You hear her new "signature" sex moan more than you should, I can honestly say I think it can be heard in every song. The actual music itself revolves around redundant, sludgy, nu metallish guitar riffs. It kills me inside to say that Lacuna Coil is no longer the great, atmospheric, original band it once was. So if uninspired hard rock like Breaking Benjamin or Three Days Grace is your cup of tea, I recommend this, if not, then I would stay away. |
