RIP.The Sound In The HothouseIt's an INCREDIBLE live album, so intense. The live versions of "Winning", "Silent air", "Total recall", "Under you", "Red paint" and "Missiles" are mind-blowing, and better than the studio album versions.The Sound Shock of DaylightTerrific mini album. Borland's voice is always beautiful and moving, his guitar inspired, Graham Bailey's bass lines are punchy, the melodies very beautiful. ""Longest days", "Winter" and "New way of life" are melodic and poignant masterpieces.4.0 excellentCry of Love BrotherAbsolutely underrated Blues/Rock album from the 90's. The rythme section is excellent, Audley Freed is a brillant underrated guitar player and Kelly Holland was a fantastic singer...RIP. John Campbell Howlin MercyAnother excellent album from the too underrated John Campbell. Meg Myers Take Me To The Disco"Constant" is the best track here, very moving, but "Numb", "Some people", "Little black death" and "Funeral" are powerful too. Meg's best album...haunting.New Model Army From HereA very solid last album from one of the UK's best and most underrated Rock/Folk bands. Justin Sullivan is still a genius and "Conversation" is the best track on the album. New Model Army Between Dog And WolfNMA at their most experimental. Best songs: "March in September", "Seven times", "I need more time", "Pull the sun", "Between dog and wolf"...most of the tracks are stunning.New Model Army EightOne of NMA's best albums. "You weren't there", "Orange tree roads", "Someone like Jesus", "Leeds road 3AM", "Snelsmore wood" are fantastic songs. New Model Army The Love of Hopeless CausesOne of NMA's best albums. A great band still underrated in 2024, after a 40 years career..Samantha Fish Runaway"Money to burn" is great! A good blues album.Samantha Fish Wild Heart"Bitch on the run" is a brillant song, one of Samantha's big classic!Samantha Fish Belle Of The West"Daughters" is maybe Samantha's best song, a wonderful, touching track. I also like "Blood on the water".The Sound Heads & HeartsThe band's music here is more "mainstream", accessible, we sometimes think of Simple Minds, but Adrian Borland's voice is still beautiful and touching, there are some very good tracks like "'Under you", "Whirlpool" , "One thousand reasons", "Love is not a ghost" and of course the wonderful classic "Total recall". A very nice album, even if not as strong as FROM THE LION'S MOUTH.The Sound Thunder Up5/5 is for the sublime and haunting "You've got a way", one of The Sound's greatest songs The rest of the album is much less strong, but there are some good tracks including the excellent and Doorsian "I give you pain". It may be the band's least successful album, but it's still essential for fans of Adrian Borland.3.0 goodMeg Myers TZIAOverproduced and a certain lack of focus but Meg's voice is still great and some of the songs are good.Meg Myers I'd Like 2 Go Home NowUneven but "True liars" is very good and i rate "Last laugh" 5/5, one of Meg's best songs.Meg Myers Thank U 4 Taking Me 2 The Disco"he underground" is a great, catchy song but the others tracks are not as memorable.
