Aptly selftitled since it's the first time that they retract themselves back without embarassment. From the cover that was taken at the same place from Hope is important, this is a homerun record with an undeniable charm. These songs are so damn catchy that by the second or third listen, you'll be humming them along. There is a simplicity here with a complete abandon for unnecessary pretense and instead embrace what they truly excel at. Angular guitars but with infectious melodies that lead to anthemic choruses with a great pop sensibility underneath that stick with you. Welcome back!James Dean Bradfield Even in ExileL.S. This makes the band more like a jukebox playing their favourite artist's at this point, but it's evident that they have potential to reach higher. They have humor, attitude and energy in spades and for now that's enough.Feeder All Bright ElectricGirls Against Boys Freak*on*icaIdlewild Hope Is ImportantManic Street Preachers Critical ThinkingMogwai Rave TapesParadise Lost Believe In NothingPJ Harvey Uh Huh HerPJ Harvey The Hope Six Demolition ProjectRocket R is for RocketIt's like they found a lost semi-classic album from the 90s that none had ever heard of and rerecorded it to appeal for todays tastes. If anything this debut promises even greater things for them down the line.
