The sound of it was instantly appealing, and I had only known about the one song for a while. I remember being stunned by that minute of sustain. I finally gave a listen to the full thing throughout my day, and I got a headache. A good headache, though. It was a poor choice to listen to this album before the other ones. Nothing sounds as good as Dopethrone so far. Not even close. "Weird Tales" is still one of my favorite songs out of anything on my phone.3.5 greatKorn Neidermeyers MindI feel if some of the elements of this demo album had been combined with the future renditions of each song, we would've had some top-tier stuff. Nevertheless, all of the tracks on here are quite nice and have a distinct downtuned grungey feel to them. From where I currently stand, I feel as if Blind on this demo was a bit too meandering, but memorable anyways. The third riff they use is fantastic. Daddy is pretty good. Of course, the bass tone is terrible, and it doesn't quite hold up to the debut release of 9 minutes, but that chorus is crushing. Alive is far better on the demo than on the TALITM version. That album destroyed this song in several ways (mainly them getting rid of the slower drum breakdown). Predictable is great, I honestly believe it's just as good as the debut version. Overall, easy to listen to on most days. Very interesting look into the band's past.
