Every song feels fresh while not straying too far from the Pumpkins formula. Every song is catchy and cuts deep. The best way I could describe this album would be somber, ethereal, gothic, and emotional to the core. Highly recommend, and a must listen for anyone checking out the Pumpkins. Turnstile Glow OnAbsolutely love the high energy and the crunchy, groovy riffs of most of the songs. Every time I listen to songs like "Don't Play", "Blackout" and "Holiday", I just want to get out of my chair and jump around, dance, head-bang, or all three. The slower alt-rock/indie songs aren't amazing, but are well placed so you can catch your breath. They give me a chilling on the beach vibe. The dream aesthetic and other sprinklings of other kinds of music keep it fresh and interesting. Overall, this is so damn fun to listen to and I highly recommend it.4.0 excellentThe Smashing Pumpkins GishGreat start for the Pumpkins. I like the balance between the heavier grunge songs and the slower, more dreamy slow jams. Overall it's pretty meat and potatoes compared to their later albums, but still a great listen. 1.0 awfulCorey Feldman Angelic 2 The CoreThis is what people in hell have to listen to everyday.
