| I counted about 18 times they've panned left or right channels and into stereo throughout rthe record; I didn't count how many times a riff starts on open C or a power chord on low C. rI would have descended into madness. If Shalaty wasn't so obsessed with rblast-beat drumming, this would have been a better listen. All of this plagued the last two rrecords too. Same ole' formulas, a legendary DM band streamlined and modernized. More raggressive and heavier than the last two records, at least. That Dead Can Dance tribute song rwas so random. Overall, Not bad but not great either, which isn't what I'm looking for from rthis band. |
