Archgoat Eternal Damnation Of Christ
Archgoat Jesus Spawn
Classic recorded in a garbage can vibes. This is not a 1 by any means, but it sounds pretty awful even for an underground early 90s black metal demo.

Astarte Blackdemonium
Well made blackened death metal. I'll have to check out their earlier stuff.

damn this is filthy. rowdy black/thrash with a heartening amount of blasphemy. not a ton to

Triumphant, melodic and crushing. Great debut. They have a new album coming out in March that sounds like a big step up too.
Flatland Cavalry Come May
Flatland Cavalry Wandering Star
A bit of a misfire. Flatland Cavalry has always been sentimental, emotional country but it was generally tempered with some heaters. This is mostly just a mid-set 'Grab someone special and make your way to the dancefloor' collection of songs. Not bad, but falls flat compared to their earlier albums.
Geese Getting Killed
Gogol Bordello Pura Vida Conspiracy
Grave Miasma Abyss of Wrathful Deities

Green Day Dookie
Havohej Dethrone the Son of God
Hereticon Severed
Solid raw black metal. They put on a hell of a show too, nice seeing a local band all done up in the GEAR. Their vocalist has an insane scream too.
Homunculus Promotional Demo MMXXIV
Marketed as psychedelic war metal and it's kinda right I suppose. Sounds like Teitanblood if they smoked an ounce of chronic.
I Declare War Bring the Season
This is not good, but every Christmas season one of these stupid covers pops into my head. Living rent free there for nearly 20 years means they did something right, I guess.
I, Forlorn Requiem
Impure (USA) Satan's Eclipse
Incantvm Strigae
Solidly ok release that lots of cool clarinet. Their next album is a big improvement in every way.
Inner Cloister Demo MMXXV

Mortuary Drape Black Flames of Blasphemy
This was a 7 inch pressing made for Black Flames of Blasphemy festival. It has three tracks,
two of which are on Tolling 13 Knell: Dreadful Discovery and Soul in Sorrow. New(?) song is
Obscure World and only like 1:30 long. Same rating as Tolling. |

The Devil Makes Three Chains Are Broken
Also another solid outing. TDMT set the bar so high with their first three albums that it's hard to top them, but what this lacks in raw punkyness it makes up for with catchiness and polish.
The Devil Makes Three Redemption & Ruin
Smok's sipping that h8erade over the devil makes three but this is a decent album by them. Not as good as other releases but not bad.

A competent Marduk clone of an album focused on anarchist politics.
Trespasser (SWE) ἈΠΟΚΆΛΥΨΙΣ

Seems like a slump album for the band but still pretty okay. Check out the albums before and after though for much better music.

Vollmondprozession Vollmondprozession
All the seeds are here for their debut album. It's a little less polished and a little less developed but it's worth a listen.

Blood Revolt Indoctrine
It's ok. Nice hearing the real talent of Revenge without the fascist Pete. It's at its best when it's going full speed ahead and grinds to a halt when it's not. Worth checking out but I probably won't give it many more listens.
Blut Aus Nord 777 - The Desanctification
Boar Taint Tainted For Life
Much better than it has any right to be. An unapologetic blend of pop punk and grind that somehow works.
Charley Crockett A Stolen Jewel

GoatPenis End
Solidly mid effort. Band peaked about a years earlier. Keep pirating until MGM 666 croaks
too lol |
Goatwhore The Eclipse Of Ages Into Black
A solid debut album. I'm just glad they stopped doing the weird nu-metal sing/talking.
Gogol Bordello We Mean It, Man!
This ain't it. I used to love this band but fell off them a while back. They're like a parody of themselves at this point. I'm sure these songs still slay live though.
Hank Williams III Rebel Within
Iron Maiden No Prayer For The Dying
Lorna Shore I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me
Symphonic black metal is my least favorite form of the genre, so when Lorna Shore really lean into the melody and atmosphere on this album it kind of loses its punch for me. About half of these songs are great, namely the more aggressive ones where they dive into the black metal and deathcore, and away from the symphonic elements. The others are well written I suppose but not for me, kinda sounds like Lord of the Rings meets Stryper. rStandout tracks: Prison of Flesh, Oblivion, Death Can Take Me, War Machine, A Nameless Hymn. Album would have been a 4 for me if it was just these songs.rWillow Soundtrack: The rest of the songs.
Lykten When the Clouds Approached and Covered the Moon
An interesting debut. Hopefully he gets around to coming out with a full length album at some point and building on the themes and ideas here.
Metallica Load
Metallica Reload
Mortuary Drape Buried in Time
Motorhead March Ör Die
Motorhead Snake Bite Love
Naked Whipper Chapel Defilement
It sounds the exact same as their previous releases from the 90s with better audio quality. A fun blackgrind album.
Nile Worship the Animal (1994 the Lost Recordings)
It's essentially a thrash album with some traces of the band they would go on to become. Glad they did their homework in releasing this though by giving it a proper master.
One Day as a Lion One Day as a Lion
P.O.D. Testify
Pissgrave Malignant Worthlessness
Feels a lot longer than 31 minutes. Not much memorable compared to their previous two albums. Probably deserves a review since it's allegedly their last one.
Reaping Fields Flesh of My Flesh
These guys are awesome live, but that gets a bit lost in their recordings.
Rotting Christ Genesis
Better than Khronos. Some heavy riffs return! You can hear them running out of stream with their goth phase.
Rotting Christ Sanctus Diavolos
Seether Karma And Effect
SHADES Better to Reign in Hell Than to Serve in Heaven
Shadows Fall The War Within
Shinedown Us and Them
The Chariot The Fiancee
Truckstop Dickpill Buc-eeverse Beatdown
Welcome to WatchMojo, today we will be jerking off a horse. There's nothing serious here and it's not that good but goddamn it made me giggle.
Whey Jennings Jekyll & Hyde
Gets a little too rah-rah 'murica and jesus-y for me at times, but at least it seems like he's writing songs he believes in instead of for the billboards, which I can respect. Great voice too, definite echoes of his granddad.
Whitechapel The Somatic Defilement
