| A very solid debut. Band has a good appreciation of thrash and what makes it so great. Instantly reminded me of my favorite Kreator sounds. Still, it's hard to shake off the feeling of inconsistency in the album. The vocals can be excellent in nailing Araya-like shout-singing, but can fall short when melodic singing, such as in the slower Demon Parasite. This inconsistency is especially noticeable in Reanimator, which features a bit of both. The guitars sound fantastic throughout the album, but the acoustic The Color of Shadows is hard to listen to. Overall, a very enjoyable album that shows a good potential. |
