5.0 classic
Bruce Springsteen Born to Run
With one of the greatest closing tracks of all time, Springsteen's modern view on America lifts this album to one of the many 70s classic rock phenomenons.
David Guetta Nothing but the Beat
For what this album was designed to do, it excels perfectly. And that is mainstream dance, so why do people hate this album so much. Hate the game not the player, because the player, writes hit after hit on this 14 track album. Incredible tracks like Little Bad Girls, Without You and my personal favorite, I can Only Imagine really grasp what life was like in 2011. With Big name contributors, Guetta's most mainstream project yet gets a well-deserved 5.
Harvey Gold Genre Time 2
first. This is one of the most complex and well-sounding hip hop albums in recent memory. Fantano should really review it.
Kanye West Late Registration
My favorite Kanye Album, Period. There are no bad tracks on the album, the interludes fit perfectly, and to me, he is at his individual peak musically speaking. Perfecting College Dropout's sound, he orchestrates a 20 track masterpiece of a record with the help of Jon Brion, who brings a touch of finesse in the production. Lyrically speaking, 10/10, production 10/10, everything is perfect (if I'm very picky I could say that the closing track "Late" isn't as good as Last Call, but what is?)
Kendrick Lamar To Pimp a Butterfly
Do I really need to explain myself, it simply is incredible.
Madvillain Madvillainy
You can't deny MF DOOM's rap ability, but I find that this record (and style for that matter) is very difficult to really enjoy. Musically, it isn't the best thing (despite Madlib's production) and thematically, I'm not a big fan.
Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here
Playboi Carti WLR Leaks And Beyond
Slauson Malone A Quiet Farwell, 2016–2018
This album is nearly flawless. Rarely do you find niche experimental albums (like Tame Impala for example) with such quality and with insane replay value like A quiet farewell. Slauson Malone's ear for soulful samples and the way he treats them to create something entirely different will never cease to amaze me. Favorite songs IBNLT King Sisyphus, Smile #2 and THE MESSAGE 2.r
Sweet Trip Velocity : Design : Comfort

4.5 superb
Bjork Vespertine
Excellent Album. Probably the greatest produced non hip hop album of all time, by a large margin. The sound engineers on this need a big raise, like you can hear everything so crisp and clear, and her voice really benefits from this incredible production. Some of my favorite songs IBNLT undo, hidden place and unison.
CunninLynguists A Piece Of Strange
Another gem of hip-hop, when an insane producer like Kno combines with talented rappers it always creates something special. Only thing keeping this album from a 5 is the very poor ending.
Drake Take Care
When people say they miss the old drake, listen to this. Insanely consistent and extremely listenable.
Frank Ocean Blonde
Almost perfect album. It's definitely not for everyone, but when you're in the mindset this album promotes, you really feel what Frank is trying to say in this album. With a few roughs spots (Mainly the interludes and the intro and ending aren't flawless), the other songs are simply amazing and open a whole other genre of pop/rap/r&b that utilizes minimalist production and insane vocal ability.
Kanye West Yeezus
5 of my favorite ye songs on here, it is a really enjoyable experimental record. Some weak tracks here and there but they don't compromise the integrity of the album.
Kanye West My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Look, this really is a incredible album. 2 of my 10 kanye song (maybe 3) appear on his magnum opus, but that doesn't mean this album is perfect. Personally, I find that the opening and closing songs are slightly above average (and dont make me start on monster).
Kanye West The College Dropout
"I miss the old Kanye, Chop off the soul Kanye". Wow, this is really 14 year after his incredible debut. College Dropout is Kanye's most coherent album to date, by a long shot. It fits perfectly as Kanye's debut, his confidence in this record's success, the struggles he had to overcome and the "college vibe" really assemble to form a excellent record. Both the closing and opening tracks are in my eyes perfect, mainly Last Call. 10/10 tracks include but not limited to All Falls down, Spaceship, Never let me Down (louder for those in the back), Slow Jamz and most importantly, Kanye's second best track streak (after TLOP 2nd part) in Two words through Last Call.
Lorde Melodrama
This album, if not for some minor flaws, would be one of the greatest pop albums of all time. I find that Lorde flourishes in this record more than in Pure Heroine, where a lack of production made some songs less enjoyable. With this track record, Lorde may go down as one of the greats in pop history.
Lupe Fiasco The Cool
Insane balance between good rap ability and flawless production or beat..

4.0 excellent
Chance the Rapper Acid Rap
When Chance pops off, he really does pop off. With a handful of bad records (and a really bad one), Chance is often left out of the great rappers conversation. But when listening to Acid Rap (and for that matter Ultralight Beam), you see what Chance could have been. This record overflows with joy and incredible production, while making space for Chance's unique style and flow. Very close to a 4.5, but some average tracks prevent this record from reaching these numbers (above rodeo)
Justin Hurwitz La La Land OST
When a movie soundtrack pushes Jazz's very structure and borders, you get Justin Hurwtiz' masterful La La Land record.
Kanye West The Life of Pablo
Excellent record. Waves to NMPILA currently best 8 track peat in a rap album. Really encapsulates kanye sound post yeezus. I like kanye's interpretation of his album : "A gospel album with a lot of swearing" and that says so little and so much about what this record represents in Kanye's lore. Not a 5 because there are very weak tracks like Feedback, Facts, Low lights and sometimes the interludes can be overwhelming. Despite that, opening and closing tracks (Ultralight beam and Saint Pablo respectively) are in my eyes perfect.
Kanye West Graduation
I feel like the majority of the Kanye community holds this album higher than I do, and notably some songs that I personally hate appear in their reasons for their praise (Champion, The Glory, Big Brother). Very strong opening but weak closing and not very coherent as a whole. Perfect songs include I Wonder, Flashing Lights and Homecoming.
Mac Miller Swimming
I was pleasantly surprised with this album. Excellent production, the vibe is immaculate (much as Blonde) and you really feel Miller's emotions throughout this record. Not as talented vocally than Frank Ocean but a really good listen nevertheless.
Silk Sonic An Evening with Silk Sonic
Travis Scott Rodeo
Incredibly enjoyable record. Insane production, Travis really emerges out of this record as the king of psychedelic trap (might be bias but I love his style). Some weak songs (Flying High, Piss on Your Grave, I can Tell) but in general, the songs are all 9s or 10s (in the case of 90210, Pray 4 love, Apple Pie specifically). While Astroworld is more consistent album, the highs on Rodeo are much higher but the lows are also lower. He also express much more individuality and personality in this record compared to Astroworld and Birds.

3.5 great
Kanye West Jesus Is King
Overhated is an understatement. Their are some really bad songs but at least it's a very coherent album.
Kanye West ye
For the love of god can't force myself to listen to this from front to back, especially as the beginning includes some of the worst Kanye songs to date, but you can't deny Ghost Town and Violent Crimes individual appeal.
Kanye West 808s and Heartbreak
Kanye's most emotional record (above KSG and ye no question). You really feel his grief for his late mother and through some excellent tracks (Say you Will, Street Lights, Bad News and Coldest Winter), you sometimes forget the lows this album also offers (Paranoid, See You in My Nightmares).
Miguel Kaleidoscope Dream
In Miguel's shining moment, he orchestrates a really good R&B album with a few excellent songs.
Travis Scott Astroworld
This should have been called a 17 track hit compilation, because it really feels like it. Almost no continuity from track to track, but individually the songs are really amazing. Extremely enjoyable (Good ass intro but half-assed ending)

3.0 good
U2 No Line on the Horizon
Despite some almost perfect songs and my personal U2 favorite song of all time (Moment of Surrender), this does not feel like a U2 album and more of a compilation.

2.5 average
21 Savage Savage Mode II
Pretty good for a mainstream artist like 21. While personally I hate 21 as an individual rapper, you can't ignore the duo he and Metro make and the moments they create on this album. Probably would be a 2 if it weren't for Freeman.
Travis Scott Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight
Some really bad songs but some really good ones, I feel like this was Travis' rush to produce another hit album after rodeo, after which he realised that quality is better over quantity.

1.5 very poor
