So much fun. Perfect album to kick off the summer. Don?t overthink it. Just crank and dance.

After the awful Fair Youth left me with a bitter taste in my mouth I had kept my expectations low, but this one
floored me after a couple listens. They incorporate plenty of classic MSW sounds but inject them with an almost
“epic movie trailer” flair that brings needed energy to the album. “Green Unpleasant Land” is fantastic epic folky
post-rock & “Even Tide” is absolutely massive. I can’t comprehend being bored by this album.
Murder by Death Spell/Bound
Somehow 9 albums in Murder By Death still finds ways to reinvent their sound & deliver arguably their best album yet. The added band members & instruments instill new life into their music & it?s by far their most ?full? sounding album yet. The production quality is god tier & the rich layers of sound easily leave you wanting to immediately revisit where you?ll inevitably pick up on something new upon each listen. A stunning album from a band that has long since ceased to need to prove their worth.

Gets better with each listen. Flows together way better than their last. Still needs work on writing a proper closer. That disgusting Circle Down riff gives me stank face.

Oh Hiroshima All Things Shining
They just can?t ever recapture what made In Silence We Yearn a classic imo. 3 albums since that are just fine & not very memorable, although ?Deluge? has some promise of where they could go in the future to stand out again.
We Lost the Sea A Single Flower
The other reviews pretty much nailed it thus far. They?ll never come close to Departure Songs again. Nothing has had the fraction of emotion that did since. And the snare drum here is as bad as St Anger wtf. It?s a fine album but nothing you haven?t heard a million times already.

2.0 poor
Pianos Become the Teeth Drift
The Sun Burns Bright In Death We Rest
Drums are ridiculous in a generally awful way. Sounds like a little kid & Guitar Center just flailing away.

1.0 awful
Glass Animals I Love You So F***ing Much
If you?re gonna turn full pop make a good pop album. This is lazy copy/paste garbage. What a waste of what used to be a great band.
