This can be a blessing or a curse, with some bands seemingly trying way too hard to be experimental and "quirky", and some bands truly finding their own unique sound; When The Kite String Pops is a perfect example of the latter. When The Kite String Pops isn't the most avant- garde or progressive album you're ever going to hear, but it does an amazing job of combining multiple styles of metal and rock into one coherent and original long-play.
