Dreamcatcher (KR) Dystopia : The Tree of Language
Dreamcatcher is a very unique K-Pop group, especially considering how flooded the K-Pop genre can be at times. This first album, with leading track Scream, is a great example of how well a rock-themed idol group can succeed musically. Check it out. It's worth it.

Ice Nine Kills The Silver Scream
Some songs rely a bit too much on clean vocals for my taste, but the songs that go hard truly go hard, and there are no
truly bad songs here. The opening 3 tracks are insanely good, and somehow Merry Axe-Mas makes Silent Night, Deadly
Night sound awesome, to pick a few highlights.
But above all else, The Silver Scream succeeds in being what is most likely the most fun metalcore album released in the
past decade. Ice Nine Kills know how to write good hooks and how to lean on a gimmick just the right amount. The result is
an undeniably catchy metalcore album that serves as the perfect jumping-on point for anyone looking to get into INK. |

Also, this is where Casey Lee Williams really shines. I love RWBY's soundtrack, but it's so
refreshing to hear her sing without sounding like she's scraping the edge of her comfortable range |

Black Veil Brides Wretched and Divine
Might be an unpopular opinion on this site, but I actually dug this album. The story was paper thin (maybe I need a couple more listens? I've only listened once) and Done For You wasn't really my thing, but it was a solid rock record with some pretty good guitar work and catchy choruses. It was a fun album and that's just what I was hoping for
Black Veil Brides The Mourning
BVB's newest EP is the perfect shot of fun rock energy, a wonderful evolution of the path they took on Phantom Tomorrow. Can't wait to hear tracks like The Revival played live
Blue Stahli Quartz
I remember turning this on and hating it simply because it wasn't Obsidian. I was an idiot. I've relistened to this album many times over the course of several months, and I think I've come around to it. It's a fun, experimental heavy album that leans hard into the industrial, and there are some real gems on here that are worth checking out

Caskets Lost Souls
Coheed and Cambria Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind
Coldrain Nonnegative
It always shocks me how effortlessly and consistently good Coldrain are. This album's easily one of their best, with tracks like Bloody Power Fame and 2020 racing along on high-octane guitars and god-tier vocals
Counterparts Tragedy Will Find Us
Cryoshell Cryoshell
Deco*27 Android Girl
Deco's 6th album is on par with his previous effort, Ghost, and even better in some respects, diving further into the anger that comes with strained relationships, while also allowing moments for more quiet reflection like on "We The Hostages". The only thing that keeps me from ranking this higher is that the tone of the closing track, "Ai Kotoba III", feels completely at odds with the tone of the rest of the album and sticks out like a sore thumb

Anyone with a pulse would agree that this album doesn't come close to the damn near perfect heights of Three Cheers and Black Parade, but it's an infectiously fun album in its own right. I absolutely love the more electronic punk-ish vibe present throughout, and it has arguably some of the catchiest choruses of MCR's career

I have to dock points from this album considering 3 songs here were present on Anfang as well (maybe they just wanted to

mention for me goes to R, Brave Jewel, and Promise (約束 if you want the Japanese title) |

Blue Stahli Copper
Copper is by far the most interesting Blue Stahli album released so far, IMHO. The album took something of a risk being guitarless, but it worked in its favor, as the songs here flourish with ambient electronics and gritty moments on songs like "Death Will Have to Run". Not Stahli's best work so far, but undeniably an enjoyable listen from beginning to end
Caskets Ghost Like You
Celldweller Blind Lead the Blind

Coheed and Cambria Year of the Black Rainbow
Currents The Death We Seek
ERRA Cure
This album is definitely different from the self-titled. Far groovier, with a heavier emphasis on atmosphere. The band rreally leaned into the NIN influence on this one. I dig it, though it didn't blow me away like the S/T did
Green Day 21st Century Breakdown
Green Day Revolution Radio
I Prevail TRAUMA
Inconsistent sound-wise for sure, and there are a lot of songs that don't stick with me past the occasional listen every now and then, but they're not atrocious, and some of them are actually permanent fixtures on my playlists (Bow Down and DOA) or my go-to songs if I need to let out all my anger and rage
Invent Animate Heavener
Like Moths to Flames Dark Divine
Linkin Park From Zero
A lot of this album is marred by obvious growing pains from the reformed Linkin Park. Some songs are stellar (All four singles and IGYEIH), but a lot of them are just iffy. It's a shame, means the band'll have a serious uphill climb for album 9
Makari Wave Machine
Mechina The World We Saved
Pretty fun riffs and vocal runs, takes you on a journey, but it's another Mel-only track, and story-wise, it's an interlude that
doesn't add much to the plot in any way. A letdown after the incredible sign of life that was Blessings Upon, but still a
decent track |

Rush Test For Echo
Set It Off Duality
Set It Off Elsewhere
It ain't Set It Off's best, but it's inoffensive and fun pop rock! Projector and Why Do I are how
they should be doing pop, instead of, like, everything past track 3-ish on Upside Down. That being
said, their newer singles blow this album out of the water. |
