I think this is the most anodyne SSPU album; to me it has very little vigour, musical creativity, delicacy, subtlety or bite. I don't care about genre... but Butch Vig produced this! He did Siamese Dream, can you imagine the guitar sounds he'd have built with SSPU if they'd gone for that sound? I mean Brian has had some of my favourite guitar tones ever rThe Microdance from London excite me much more than Silversun Pickups at the moment. No idea why they haven't blown up. They've got a new album out soon and from what I've heard, it'll blow Widow's Weeds out of the water! My friends who dig SSPU, love these guys.
