Foo Fighters The Colour and the Shape
A pure classic rock 'n' roll record. This one stands out their discography with Wasting Light. They never released a bad album but these two are totally stand out.
Foo Fighters Wasting Light
Definitely a huge blast record! When I first heard this album in full, I thought this might be one of the greatest tunes I have heard in a long time! Foo Fighters was the pioneers of rock music back in a day. With Wasting Light, they have proven that they still are pioneers!

Mastodon Leviathan
Unbelievably good record! Heavy and melodic at the same time and it has very generous and smart moments. It was just two years after the tremendous debut Remission. It's really unbelievable how their progressed themselves this more. It's a production miracle and it very well give you the emotion.
Mastodon Blood Mountain
If we talking about best records of the 2000's, we have to talk about Blood Mountain for sure! When I first heart this album, it really freaked me out. I don't know why but the emotion I felt was truly terrifying. And when I completed the record I was thinking "That was what they're trying to do. And they did it very well." The story of the album and how it produced and written is absolutely amazing. Good sludgy riffs and hard-ass drums with truly amazing vocals. What are you waiting for?
Mastodon Crack the Skye
I really don't know why is there many bad reviews for this album. I love every record has been released by Mastodon. But Crack the Skye, for me, is the best. Emotionally, it's high above the clouds and it also heavy as the harder ground. Brilliantly produced and well written classic!
Megadeth Rust In Peace
Metallica Master Of Puppets
Me to review mighty "Master of Puppets" is not something ethical. This is my all time fucking favourite album and milestone of my musical understanding. I still couldn't figure it out. How they did this? This album is complete perfection. It has power, speed, balance, melody and so many other qualification. I believe that every metal band after 1986 influenced by this masterpiece. Musicianship in this one is phenomenal. It has progressive rock influences, classic metal tunes and their signature thrash sound. With "Master of Puppets"; Hetfield has proved that he is the vocalist that everyone will admire, Hammett has proved that he will have this unique sound for decades, Ulrich has proved his producing skills and his drumming skillsa and most importantly Burton has proved that he is a fucking genius. Take this album, put it under your pillow and sleep with it.
Metallica Kill 'Em All
Oh god, this is a genre defining, ass-kicking friggin' thrash metal record. I'm a huge Metallica fan and I believe they have a different vision if you compare them with any other band out there. Catchiness and greatness in their songwriting is not just Hetfield, Hammett or Burton and Ulrich. And also not just about Mustaine, of course. Those names are genre definers. But what they did, they did together. Those who say that "Mustaine is Metallica", just suck it up. I really love Megadeth but I had to admit that Megadeth is not Metallica. So, pointing a finger to any band member to praise would be a bullcrap. They are all great musicians, they did great job with creating music and defining a genre. They did it together and they all should be taking their credits for it, together. "Kill 'Em All" is a record that no one ever forgets. With its raw production and heaviness, it still remains as one of the best thrash metal records out there.
Metallica Ride The Lightning
They formed the band and immidiately they began to release masterpieces. How you managed to step up from "Kill 'Em All"? With critically aclaimed, speedporn and thrash wonder "Ride the Lightning" of course. Even looking that precious album cover gives me goosebumps. Within one year, they progressed a lot. Hetfield's vocal performance was very good back in Kill 'Em All, but it has little weak spots of course. With Ride the Lightning, Hetfield became a true god. Burton's musical genius and Hammett's brilliant effort is also make this album perfect. Don't forget about Lars, don't ever forget about him. He's an underrated drummer. I say this as a drummer myself. Nowadays, he's a little out of shape and he was never the best drummer out there but it's not just about hitting it technically perfect. It's about creating art. And Ulrich was creating art back then, he's creating art still.
Metallica ...And Justice For All
Heaviness of this... You know that there would be any good heavy music if there wasn't And Justice for All, right? Yes, I definitely said that. With Justice tunes new bands has a different vision and they started to build on this one. Agression of Hetfield's vocals and the album generally is an 'again' genre defining. That's what Metallica do. They define something. They make music that influence musicians. They are still doing it and I hope they continue to do it for a long time.

Rammstein Mutter
Rammstein delivered a classic after their first two record. And that two records were a stand out metal records of the decade. They still managed to step forward and with "Mutter", 2000's has a milestone record. All those essential records of Rammstein discography, this one is their best.
Sepultura Beneath The Remains
Slayer Reign In Blood
Tool Lateralus
Tool managed to deliver us two classic albums in a row. This is a hard thing to do. For me, they even stepped further. Lateralus was more than an album. It was whole different journey for band's followers and the band members themselves. If I try to speak up all the secrets that this album has, I would run out of words. I truly believe that even now if I dive in to this one again, I would find another secret of it. Using of Fibunacci Sequence wisely and lyrical consept based on exsitentialism is what make this album even greater. Just give it a listen. One of the all time classic and probably most intellegent record of all time!
Tool Ænima
One of the all-time classics. Aenima is well writen, well produces and well sounded album. It has all the things you could ask from a metal record. Undertow was more like a alternative and slight progressive record. Aenima is straigh prog beast.

I really don't get that why people complainin about this record! This was an experimental release and if you watch "Sonic Highways" documentary you will get it. Writing process of this album is just magnificent. You can clearly see that Dave Grohl is a mastermind. 8 good piece, no filler. Sonic Highways is clearly one of the stand out pieces of Foo's career.
Foo Fighters Concrete and Gold
After Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace Foo Fighters took the high road and tried something little different. With later two installments of their discography was phenomenal. With Concrete & Gold, they tried something even more different. They worked with a different producer and created a unique sound. Foo's creativeness is still rising high and their unstoppable power is dominating!

Mastodon Emperor of Sand
Expectations turns out to be true! Mastodon's latest installment Emperor of Sand is truly amazing. It's like a summary of what they were doing with their whole carreer. And I believe that this album has strongest vocal performances by the band's three members. Heavy sludgy riffs and perfect drums as always. There are many many things to say for this album. But best thing to say is; give it a fucking listen.
Megadeth Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?
Metallica Metallica
Yes, this is more like heavy metal record than thrash metal. But, so fucking what?! (You see what I did back there?) It still brings heaviness in our hearts. When Metallica's brilliant musicianship hits mainstream, I considered mainstream as a 'lucky motherfucker'. I think every single person on this world should hear Metallica. They can start with this one. Songs like Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters and The Unforgiven are very popular among those who don't like metal music. Metallica did it again. Heavy metal created long ago but not like this. Black Album is a blessing for a metal community and mainstream also.
Metallica Hardwired...To Self-Destruct
Metallica summarized their entire career with Hardwired... to Self-Destruct. Those precious moments has lots of thing to get emotional. They aged and they're still kicking it. And I believe they will after some time too. People tried to change Metallica. "Do the thrash stuff." Guess what, they don't want to do that stuff. And it's okay. That's the way inspiration comes from. All I ask from Metallica is, don't block that way. Whatever comes from there, I'm ready to hear it.

Rammstein Liebe Ist Für Alle Da
We couldn't expect more than this one. Liebe ist für Alle Da is Rammstein heaviest record and also has strong industrial materials. Band members was still trying to figure out that if their continue to do this or not. Making a tremendous record while you having this kinda decision process has to be hard. But they managed to release this classic. That's why I'm looking forward to hear their latest record. Just release it already!

Iowa was the definition of heaviness back then. And when people talk about heaviness today, they still talking about this particular record. So, we can say that Iowa is still defining heavy music today.
System of a Down Toxicity
Tool 10,000 Days
Tool is always progressing. They stated that their long-awaited disc will be nothing like the others. This statement proves it all. They always keep progressing. I believe Lateralus was their best but I don't want to take 10,000 Days as a 'step backwards'. Well written album, definitely. Tool managed to connect life itself with their complexity. "Vicarious" is one of the best songs they have ever written and I still cry everytime I hear Wings for Marie Part 2.

Mastodon Remission
Harder than a punch in a face. Just try to listen Remission from beginning to end in front of a giant speaker, you will get what I mean. We can see Remission as a compilation of heaviest riffs of the 2000's. Mastodon was a band always progresses. After Remission, they managed to take step forward always.
Mastodon The Hunter
Mastodon's attempt to create a new sound every album, always turns out good. The Hunter was slightly different than Crack the Skye, as sound based. Songs like Curl of the Burl and Black Tongue was a definition of these guys musical brilliance.
Mastodon Once More 'Round the Sun
Another total blast by Mastodon. This time they delivered the goods by less heavier stuff. It's not a bad thing. Crack the Skye was not heavy as their previous releases but I'm in love with that record. Totally! Their capability of writing technical stuff is undeniable. Once More 'Round the Sun is a great installment for their brilliant discography.

Metallica Load
This is not metal, you all know that, right? There is no problem with that, you all know that too, right? So, there shouldn't be any problem. Consider this as a hard rock album and boom you have a great record. Of course you would be upset if you consider this as a metal. Change is a need. They are still Metallica because of their changes. Testament, Exodus and bands like those tried to stick to their style. But after a while there was just same riffs and vocal lines over and over again. Don't get me wrong, I love those bands and still admire them. But not as like admire Metallica. Shifting style to hard rock was a brave choice and I believe that it turned out good. I enjoyed this era's tunes and I never get bored of.
Metallica Garage Inc.
Four buddies go in a room and they bang the fuck out their instruments with their favourite songs. This is a good formula. Of course I wanna hear my idols covering their idols. Garage Inc. is a refreshing album for Metallica. They needed it, they have done it. And they did a double album. Thank God.
Metallica Death Magnetic
Death Magnetic is a good album. It's what fans were asking for. It also what Metallica wants to do. It would have produced better but hey, St. Anger would have produced better too. There are certain things that we can't change. Stop bitching about it. Death Magnetic is a fast, heavy and dynamic album. It's a blast. In a good way, but listening it over and over again might give you a slight headache.
Metallica Beyond Magnetic
I wish they put these on the album. I would never say no to a longer 'Tallica album. There is a good tunes here. Four ass-kicking songs and we have it with a good design of classic logo. Oh, I'm so fucking glad!
Metallica S&M (DVD)

Rammstein Herzeleid
What a great riff compilation! Rammstein really knows how to catch the success in simplicity. Their first installment for their succesfull discography is a milestone for industrial metal and heavy music in general.
Rammstein Reise, Reise
Another well produced and well written record by German industrial powerhouse Rammstein. With "Reise, Reise", Rammstein delivered a little different but still ass-kicking sound. We can say Till Lindemann is in form as the other band members. Rammstein gave us the signal that they still writing good and controversial stuff as always.
Rammstein Rosenrot
We have to be agreed on this one: Rammstein never released an awful record. General discussions shows that Rosenrot was Rammstein weakest record. They say it's incomplete and band's decision that not to tour after this one proves that there is something wrong with Rosenrot. I disagree. Even if their all albums were 5 star classics there has to be one album that ranked below. For me, it's Rosenrot or Herzeleid. But that two albums are definitely stone cold records.

Slipknot Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses
When Slipknot began to step in to the mainstream area, old time fans were freaking out. Sometimes popularity brings lack of creativeness with it. But not with this one. This one clearly dominated mainstream and gave people a good headbang moments.
Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter
I found this album pretty delightful. After All Hope is Gone, band went through a lot. A lot. Paul Gray's tragic loos and departure of long time drummer Joey Jordison definitely shaked the band in a very bad way. But they managed to deal with this stumble and delivered a great album. This has proven that Slipknot is one of the pioneer forces of today's metal.

Foo Fighters In Your Honor
After One by One, Foo's delivered what fans were asking. One by One was a little inconsistent record. In Your Honor here, knows what to do. This records has strict plan, working plan. It has one of their biggest hits Best of You. And a gem like DOA should be never forgotten.
Foo Fighters Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace
Foo Fighters was always a creative band. And they released creative stuff with their unique sound. Just look what's out there now and you will definitely tell that Foo's has some vision. Dave Grohl is one of the greatest rocker of all time and with his guidance, Foo's always maintained their place in rock.

In Flames I, the Mask
I believe In Flames needs to step a bit further for a potential "comeback". I enjoyed "I, the Mask". I enjoyed it very well. Catchy riffs and melodic choruses works good. It sometimes brings boredom with it but In Flames put it out wisely. If we gonna state this as a melodic death metal, I would be upset. This is more like nu influenced metalcore I think. But it's not the melodic death I know. So, to enjoy "I, the Mask" don't get high expectations. This is a solid record and has some good catchy tunes. I hope In Flames would step a little further with their further installment.

Metallica St. Anger
Many of you will disagree with me and many of you will think that I'm just a fanboy. You may. There is freedom of speech. As well, for me too. St. Anger is NOT a bad album. It's an experimental album and it's catchy. It produced a little different than all the other albums and of course it bothers me too. But it is what it is. I wouldn't change any part of it. Emotions as important as the musicianship. Actually, emotions creates a bigger part of musicianship. St. Anger is full of those emotions. They let it out. They hit their feet on ground and jump the fuck back again. It feels like garage all over again.
Metallica Reload
ReLoad was leftovers of Load. I said that because it's a fact. Metallica collected so many hard rock materials within their career. I'm glad that we have a double album like this. When I look at it completely, there is some (I don't wanna say it but) filler songs. Not bad songs but, they are not that memorable. So, there are several not memorable moments on this album. Also Load has some of it too. But, I don't wanna consider this as a problem. We still have many of good tunes. I believe metalheads who complains about these two albums doesn't know that their musical understanding has expanded with these two.
Opeth Heritage
Queens of the Stone Age Queens of the Stone Age
Queensryche The Verdict
Solid riffs and good vocals. Queensryche still delivers good stuff. When it comes to Queensryche,
everyone expect more. These guys gave us the milestone of progressive metal music. They stumbled
after a line up change but they managed to get their stuff together. Condition Hüman was a solid
record, so is The Verdict. People complains about this one has rock materials more than metal.
It's half true. But, I'm not going to complain about a record has some rock elements.

Sepultura Bestial Devastation

Slipknot All Hope Is Gone
All Hope is Gone definitely has big hits like Psychosocial, Sulfur and Snuff. But when you look at the bigger picture, AHIG feels like a little dispersed. It's like there is no complete feeling for this record. That's why this one ranked down below from the other records. But this doesn't mean that Knot did a bad job here. We still have pretty good moments in this album. Still good record, just needs a little order in it.
