5.0 classic
Agalloch The Mantle
Amorphis Silent Waters
Aquilus Griseus
Aquilus Bellum II
A big step up over Bellum I that has tons of new ideas that take the Aquilus sound in a unique new direction. It is more
than worthy of standing next to the debut
Black Sabbath Master of Reality
Black Sabbath Black Sabbath
Boston Boston
Candlemass Epicus Doomicus Metallicus
Dissection Storm of the Light's Bane
Dissection Reinkaos
Ensiferum Ensiferum
Ensiferum were the guys to get me into metal. If it wasn't for them I would have missed out on so much great music, so they'll always have a special place in my heart. Every song could be considered the best on the album, and there is tons of variation in all of them. And even though it's a folk metal album, it has a more mature tone without sounding very cheesy. Overall its an album anyone interested in folk or metal should give a try
Equilibrium Sagas
Arguably the best folk metal album. The mountain of cheese makes it even more enjoyable and fun. I could listen to Unbeseigt and Mana all day
Funkadelic Maggot Brain
Gris À L'Âme Enflammée, L'Âme Constellée...
A cathartic work of art. Few albums hit as hard when you are going through hard times
Havukruunu Kelle Surut Soi
Good luck finding an album that will get your blood pumping as much as this one
Horn Naturkraft
Moonsorrow Verisäkeet
Moonsorrow Kivenkantaja
Moonsorrow Voimasta ja kunniasta
Moonsorrow Viides luku - Hävitetty
Didn't like it at first, listened to it one day late at night alone in the dark and as soon as the last 8 minutes of the first track came on, I knew it was a masterpiece. All the riffs are great catchy, memorable, etc. It does a great job with creating a wall of sound and making no part seem boring (Once it grows on you). And parts like the lonely guitar at the beginning or the depressing yet bombastic chorus(?), the last 3 minutes of the first track that's repeated, help you imagine a dark, destroyed, and mysterious world. My favorite album of all time.
Moonsorrow Jumalten aika
Nokturnal Mortum The Voice of Steel
Paysage d'Hiver Winterkälte
Primordial To the Nameless Dead
The Ruins of Beverast Rain Upon the Impure
One of the hardest things to listen to in all of black metal, but damn is it good

Bathory Twilight of the Gods

Caladan Brood Echoes Of Battle
Drudkh Blood In Our Wells
Ennio Morricone The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Ensiferum Victory Songs

the band said "fuck those last 3 albums" and made a sequel to From Afar with a power metal singer and it fuckin rulez
Equilibrium Turis Fratyr
Finntroll Jaktens Tid
Finntroll Visor Om Slutet
Sounds like they recorded this in a swamp while partying. It?s all acoustic and sounds a lot different than their other releases, so it might not be your taste, but it?s great for what it is. Except for track 8 which is just breathing
Funkadelic One Nation Under a Groove
Green Carnation A Blessing In Disguise
Hans Zimmer The Dark Knight: Original Motion Picture Soundtrac
Havukruunu Uinuos Syömein Sota
A lot more complex and and darker sounding than Kelle Surut Soi, and feels like a natural evolution of the rprevious album. The vocals are something to behold, as they go from standard black metal screams to guttural chants to whatever is in between, to full choirs. Music and composition-wise it doesn?t sound much different than its predecessors, but Havukruunu start to show a sound they can truly call their own now
Horn Distanz
Naturkraft Part II, that should be all you need to hear

Although there?s a couple generic black metal songs on here, if you can look past the extremely offensive lyrics, you have a pretty solid folk/black metal album
Nokturnal Mortum Return Of The Vampire Lord
Parliament The Clones Of Dr. Funkenstein
Paysage d'Hiver Das Tor

Windir Arntor
I just want to say "The Blacksmith and Troll Of Lundamyri" is a classic and arguably one of the best songs I've ever heard. The guitar sings more than the vocalist and when they combine to create melodies it creates a near surreal experience.
Woody Jackson Red Dead Redemption 2 (Original Score)
Yuka Kitamura Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (Soundtrack)

Graveland/Nokturnal Mortum The Spirit Never Dies
Nokturnal Mortum's songs are very good. They're fast, bombastic, and can hold up to the songs on The Voice of Steel pretty well despite being pretty different. But then Graveland comes in. After the pretty good intro, it moves into the slow brooding 2 songs Graveland conceived. Although the songs have good parts and are overwell solid, the vocals are awful, sounding more like spoken dialogue. Overall, worth just for NM
Green Carnation Light of Day, Day of Darkness
Despite its length, this album always has something interesting happening, and never left me bored, especially the first and last 10 minutes. However the female screams at around halfway through are awful and bring down the song. But still easily worth a listen
Green Carnation Leaves Of Yesteryear
A great return after all these years that every Green Carnation fan will enjoy

Agalloch Marrow of the Spirit
Amorphis Skyforger
Atlas Pain What the Oak Left
Bathory Nordland I

Regular catchy power metal with harsher vocals, which make it sound more unique and luckily less repetitive then normal power metal. Worth a listen

Was going to give a 4 but the closing goes on for way too long and is boring the entire
way, never deserving its length.
Sounds like they were trying to hard too make their own Havitetty.
Other songs are pretty good though.
Gloryhammer Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards
Goatmoon Finnish Steel Storm
Green Carnation The Quiet Offspring
Hans Zimmer The Dark Knight Rises

Pretty good album. Only downside is Anders’s cleans make me want to kill myself.

Sojourner The Shadowed Road
Summoning Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame
Summoning Dol Guldur

3.0 good
Aether Realm Redneck Vikings From Hell
It's pretty good for what it is, although the creativity shown in the title track (ie. the banjo and other southern elements) aren't present in any of the other songs which unfortunately keeps it from being a unique album of its own. If they're going to make an album called Redneck Vikings they should at least keep the cool gimmick all the way through. Nevertheless there's several good songs on here
Alestorm Sunset on the Golden Age
Alestorm No Grave But the Sea
Amorphis Tales from the Thousand Lakes
Amorphis The Beginning of Times
Bathory The Return of the Darkness and Evil
Bathory Hammerheart
Bathory Blood on Ice
Bathory Destroyer of Worlds
Borknagar True North
Burzum Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
DragonForce Inhuman Rampage
Eldamar The Force of the Ancient Land
It?s a good album, but very repetitive. The first song is just several notes being played on a keyboard with little changes each minute, like guitars, some growls, and a female vocalist who just sings the same note the whole song. All of this for over ten minutes. And then you get to the next song and realize it is (without exaggeration) the same song you probably won?t even notice it changed. Thankfully, the songs do get less repetitive and they sound good
Ensiferum One Man Army
Much faster and heavier than Unsung Heroes, although most of the songs are bland and forgettable (except for the 11 minute closer)
Equilibrium Waldschrein
Equilibrium Armageddon
Falconer Falconer
Finntroll Trollhammaren
Finntroll Blodsvept
Gloryhammer Tales from the Kingdom of Fife

Nokturnal Mortum 22 Years Among the Sheep
Nokturnal Mortum Orathania / Коляда
Opeth Blackwater Park
Powerwolf Call of the Wild
Sabaton The Last Stand
Saor Aura
Summoning Minas Morgul
Solid symphonic black metal record. There aren?t a lot of very memorable or stand out parts, as most songs follow the same few riffs, but the songs remain consistent and enjoyable throughout
Summoning With Doom We Come
The Wanted The Wanted
Turisas Stand Up and Fight
Wintersun Time I
There are only 2 tracks (and the intro) worth listening to on this album, SoWS and Time. The first 8 or so minutes of the former sound like a jumbled mess of guitars and synths without anything coherent, but the last 4 minutes saves it and makes it memorable. Time is just alright

2.5 average
Amorphis Eclipse
Amorphis Halo
Ensiferum Two Paths
What an Ensiferum album would sound like if they stripped away all the elements that made them each unique and added a shitty accordian. Has a couple bland songs but also has a some good solid ones I still occasionally listen to, though none hold a candle to their other songs. Unfortunately is without a doubt their worst album
Ensiferum Suomi Warmetal
Equilibrium Renegades
Mesarthim Spire
Neurosis Through Silver in Blood
Obtained Enslavement Witchcraft
Temnozor (RUS-1) Horizons...
Wintersun The Forest Seasons
The long and bombastic of Moonsorrow without any of the parts that make Moonsorrow so good. Boring

2.0 poor
Agalloch Faustian Echoes
Bhad Bhabie 15
Burzum Filosofem
Lorde Tennis Court
Wanted to kill myself everytime this came on the radio.
Muse The Resistance
Powerwolf Blood of the Saints
The exact same song over and over again for an hour. You'll lose track of the number of Hallelujahs in the songs. Laziness makes this a 2.
Sleep Dopesmoker
Ulver Nattens Madrigal
Wintersun Warning
XXXTENTACION ?

1.5 very poor
Goatmoon Death Before Dishonour
Borderline unlistenable and straight up painful, both music and ideology wise
Lorde Pure Heroine

1.0 awful
