Avril's voice sounds amazing and some songs have interesting vocal melodies that seem to lead somewhere - only to be chopped off by bland choruses or undermined by some of the cringiest lyrics I've heard in a while. It actually made me feel nostalgic for the times when I didn't speak any English and didn't pay attention to shotguns and roses and caged birds. Also, her trying to sound like today's top 20 results in a disaster.
