5.0 classic
Bell Witch Mirror Reaper
Grima Rotten Garden
Insomnium Shadows of the Dying Sun
The record that led me down the rabbit hole that is heavy music. It is truly a classic in the world of modern melodeath
Insomnium Heart Like a Grave
Insomnium is still pioneering and raising the bar to what melodic death metal can be. In a genre that is fading in popularity, Insomnium is still holding the torch, keeping melodeath relevant

4.5 superb
Evergrey Escape Of The Phoenix
Trivium The Sin and the Sentence

4.0 excellent
Aethyrick Apotheosis
Be'lakor Coherence
Evergrey The Atlantic
Fit for an Autopsy Hellbound
Insomnium Above the Weeping World
Tribulation Where The Gloom Becomes Sound
gothic post-black metal punk........if that sounds intriguing then this is the record for youxD

3.5 great
Insomnium In the Halls of Awaiting
Insomnium Since the Day It All Came Down
Insomnium One for Sorrow
Solid riffing and emotional atmosphere. This would be spectacular if it were not for the way the cymbals are mixed. Way too piercing

3.0 good
Ablaze My Sorrow Among Ashes And Monoliths
Kinda like Dark Tranquility but without the spice. A good jam for those in the genre, but nothing special
Asphyx Necroceros
A solid, groovy record. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it is an enjoyable jam to play whilst studying
Bloody Hammers Songs Of Unspeakable Terror
This record, while not groundbreaking, has plenty of earworms to keep your head bopping for the next 3 weeks
Frozen Soul Crypt Of Ice
Hulder Godslastering: Hymns of a Forlorn Peasantry
Very solid record. Has some neat odd-meter sections and great vocals. The riffing and drums are rather basic tho
Human Serpent Heirlooms Eternal
A solid record with a few real gems, but an equal amount of forgettable songs. Awesome vocals and decent guitars. Good to throw on for any black metal fan
Insomnium Across the Dark
Honestly this is Insomnium's weakest record. There are a few decent tracks but the rest are run of the mill Insomnium, which isn't bad, but not the level that is expected from this band
Insomnium Winter's Gate
Marketed as one song....but in reality it is 7 songs that fade into each other. Only the first 10 minutes or so are memorable, the rest kinda just bleeds together

2.5 average
Nervosa Perpetual Chaos
The riffs and individual performances are solid, but the uninteresting song structures and near Five Finger Death Punch esq lyrics make this rather bland

2.0 poor
Ancient Mastery Chapter One: Across The Mountains Of ...
Fit for an Autopsy The Process of Human Extermination

1.5 very poor
Ektomorf Reborn
This album is what happens when you give a 12 year old some monster. It is borderline 5FDP levels of cringe
Elegiac Father of Death
55min of boring black metal. If this guy didn't release an album every other week and focused on one for awhile.....maybe this band would have potential
