| "Real Black Metal" only consists of the First Wave scene and the War Metal scene. What is known by "Second Wave" is nothing but depressed and shitty melodic riffs with questionable real satanic influence. When people try to argue that bands like Deafheaven are not real black, while saying that Burzum is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake black as Deafheaven. Real black sounds HATEFUL, POWERFUL and somewhat PUNK-INFLUENCED. Fake black is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL BLACK are Blasphemy, Sarcofago, early Bathory (the only real black band from the Scandinavian scene) and the first Sepultura album. Some examples of FAKE BLACK are Dissection, Emperor and Immortal BLACK BELONGS TO EARLY THRASH AND CRUST PUNK NOT TO SHOEGAZE, SYMPHONIC, DOOM METAL OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE |
