The B-Side "Marion" sounds right at home on Trials and sounds as if it was an obscure forgotten piece of that record. "Mornings will be Kind" sounds more akin to there 2004 Debut Bamnan and Slivercork with the trademark inflating synthesizers of that release dominating the scope of the song. The acoustic version of "Roscoe" in particular is the highlight of this collection and shows how layered and brooding Midlake's songwriting can be when stripped to there bare essentials. If you find yourself to be a moderate fan of Midlake, this is a really solid release and would be well worth your time checking out. The only decent part of this greatest hits is the second disc featuring the second set from the Colors_Live Cd/DVD. This was the only option to get a quality audio CD from that set since a copy was excluded originally of the Colors_Live second set. Other than that small positive, don't bother with this greatest hits release and instead listen to each album in their entirety the way they were intended.
