Not what I was expecting after The Light Is rLeaving Us All (which I think is one of their rbest albums) though I actually mean that in the rbest way. I loved the single If A City... which rlead me to envision and speculate what this album rmay end up like. But I ended up very (pleasantly) rsurprised with how it turned out and how it rsubverted my expectations. The instrumentals are rbeautiful and feel very tangible and warm. They rvery powerfully evoke typical english rcountrysides in a way that really got to me (a rfeeling I got from The Light Is Leaving Us All rbut not quite to this degree)rI love when David Tibet approaches albums with rthis more monolithic structure with less rvariation between tracks but a huge value in the rdetails, themes and feelings that you can pull rfrom them. Repetition seems to (in my opinion) rhave always been an important element in C93s ralbums (I have always loved that about them). rThis one pushes that to a beautiful extreme in rits lyrics and imagery. rSince recieving the record I've played it on rabsolute obsessive repeat and get more out of it reverytime. It's very rewarding.rIt's the same feeling I got from Soft Black Stars rand Sleep Has His House ; an imediate rfascination, with so many reasons to love it, rwhile keeping a hermetic depth and nuance through ra beautiful restraint.rI love this album
Gaika Basic Volume
An amazingly solid debut from an artist that didn't even really need to prove himself after his releases since 2005. Basic Volume flows perfectly and never falters or looses sight of it's subject and vibe. Making the album more accessible (instrumentally and vocally) was a great move that loses nothing of what makes Gaika such an interesting and fresh artist. Hopefully this will give him the renown he greatly deserves. Lots of love and support

Iggy Pop and Underworld Teatime Dub Encounters
Bells & Circles is one of the best outputs from both artists in a long time imho. The rest is very renjoyable in the continuity of the odd spoken word projects Iggy has done with artists such as rAlva Noto (Leaves Of Grass) All in all a surprisingly solid output as far as I'm concerned, even rmade me buy the LP
