I want to compare this album to Brand New's last album as in expectation, except this album was actually satisfying.

I don't have the biggest hardcore IQ, and quite frankly, I find most of it annoying. But, this hardcore album watered down with mainstream rock is one of the most charming albums I have ever heard.
Saosin Translating the Name
Search The City A Fire So Big The Heavens Can See It
Silverstein This Is How the Wind Shifts
Sleeping With Sirens Let's Cheers to This
Been listening to this a lot lately. Forgot how much this album means to me. Obviously, rating is biased due to nostalgic reasons. This is one of the earliest examples, if not the first band to almost completely ditch the post hc or metalcore roots and create a pop album that was so cohesive and groundbreaking at the time. Listening to this album, I get taken back to when my adolescent self was upset but slowing adjusting to the change in sound. man, this album sure did grow on me. Just like the album artwork, the album is bright and charming. Definitely changed the game.
The Pharcyde Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde
The Sound of Animals Fighting Tiger and the Duke
Why am I just now listening to this? This is pure bliss. This fills the void of all my progressive Post-hc fantasies. This is like what Saosin's debut should have sounded like, this is like a third Tides of Man album before they turned into another crappy instrumental band, this is like if Circa Survive were a consistent band. This is like what all these shit bands wish they sounded like (A Lot Like Birds, Stolas, Hail The Sun). THIS is a classic.

One of the most important post hardcore albums ever. Pioneering progressive post hardcore to new heights, while retaining this almost early 00s metalcore vibe with alternating dirty riffs, that makes the album one of a kind.

Palisades Palisades
First Palisades album I have ever given a spin. Woah. Completely blown away. You know, people used to make fun of the type of music this band started off playing. But in the end, this band has adapted to their environment and has blended their adolescent synth-core roots with mainstream pop rock, and has created unprecedented music that has set new heights for post-hardcore standards, and now everyone else is getting in line.
Paramore All We Know Is Falling
Sleeping With Sirens If You Were a Movie, This Would Be Your Soundtrack
Man. I remember when this came out. Sleeping With Sirens was on top of the world, literally the peak of their career(and the peak of their talent) and then suddenly, It was like their career jumped off a cliff. Anyways, one of the most creative acoustic album ever made, definitely an homage to 'Closer 2 Closure.'
Sleeping With Sirens How It Feels to Be Lost
I absolutely adore this record. A heartfelt attempt to grip the dying scene they were born in and raise it up back to life.
State Champs The Finer Things
The New Low Continuance
The New Low rise from the ashes after the destruction of Hearts & Hands. The main weapon of this group is the superior duo of two beyond excellent vocalists singing a softer melody but with a darker vibe. The remains of a supposed super group completely destroyed and rebuilt into a much more consistent and lovely group. And That's exactly what this band's message is about, rebuilding yourself into a better person.
The Paramedic Apollo
Tides of Man Dreamhouse
Vince Staples Big Fish Theory

Bilmuri Wet Milk
I always knew Johnny was a good producer ever since AA!'s technicality vanished after he left, and him doing an incredible job at producing Jarrod Alonge's stuff. But, I had no idea he was putting out stuff like this. Completely unprecedented stuff that is literally flipping the scene on its head. This is the future of music.
Chiodos Illuminaudio
Kinda sad when some random dude joins your band and creates their best album ever. Owens should be ashamed of himself.
Convictions Hope for the Broken
This album is like Mike Hranica in his prime laying down some vocals for a bunch demos that didn't make the cut for Define The Great Line.

3.5 great
50 Cent Get Rich or Die Tryin'
Shocking to see how disliked this is on Sputnik. Album means a lot to me circa elementary grade school slightly molding my adolescent mind. Looking back, this album pioneered early 00s hip-hop attacking the mainstream airwaves with its pop charm, but with a closer look, 50 Cent displays enough edge to maintain his pseudo gangster rap roots. Before music turned into a game of releasing the best single for a season, this record hits hard with solid musicianship from practically beginning to end. Get Rich or Die Tryin' single-handedly created the path for 50 Cent to become the entrepreneur he is today and a big name in early 00s history.
Agraceful The Great I Am
raw, gritty, and unapologetic metalcore. Agraceful comes out swinging with their one and only debut 'The Great I am.' Surely, a one of a kind passionate album.
Boys of Fall Better Moments
I enjoyed this more than the much higher rated debut. Do I have bad taste? I think not. The progression this band wandered off to might have most of you shaking your heads. But, the debut was sketchy as hell. This is consistent and mature even if the style of the record was not what you guys were hoping for.
Chelsea Wolfe Birth of Violence
Yeah this album was definitely the culprit to the decline of In Fear And Faith's career. But I still fucks wid it.

N.W.A. Straight Outta Compton
Never been a fan of any entity getting popular solely on shock value. The band is full of energy with some crafty word play here and there, but this album is mostly full of undeveloped 80s hip-hop. But of course, notable pioneers leading on to the perfection of hip-hop soon to come in the early 90s.
The Color Morale We All Have Demons
I gave this a listen hoping to hear some soft melodies with a touch of post-hardcore that's rough around the edges. And that is exactly what I got, and it's my favorite brand of post-hardcore music. Frontman Garret Rapp makes the album shine with his talented vocals complimented with some melodic riffs to lead the way within the midst of the hard hitting metalcore atmosphere of course.
Vince Staples FM!
Feels like Big Fish Theory B-sides and a look into what Vince has in store for us in his next album. The little album sends surges to my brain reminding me of a simple life listening to the radio back in the early 00s. Amazing.

Sure, these guys are talented.. but this album is all over the place. Song structure is so whacky. But then again, that's the case for most sumerian bands.

Denzel Curry TA13OO
This album is like a plot of a generic family sitcom episode. They dress the youngest child who is wild and dysfunctional in a suit, because it's pivotal to impress this very important person (insert a more detailed scenario here). You watch as the family's clever scheme working at first, but then quickly escalates into a fiasco. That's exactly what this album is. The first three tracks are jaw droppingly slick with some jazzy melodies, and some serious flow being spit out. But in the end, this shit rears its ugly horrorcore dysfunctional personality. Like "Hi, bitch! Fooled you!"

1.5 very poor
Lil Yachty Lil Boat
I will never understand this dreadful new wave hip-hop. But, If i have anything remotely positive to say about this album, I suppose the simple and happy vibe is slightly charming.

What have we learned? A whole album with Darron's vocals is more annoying than a fly constantly flying around your face while you're trying to sleep on the couch. And the instrumentals are like B-sides to Steal This Album, which is an album full of B-sides.
