2.0 poor
(hed) p.e. Stampede
This is one of those bands that put out their best material at the beginning of their career, and even then it wasn't that well received. Nonetheless, Broke an Blackout hold a special place in my heart as far as Nu-Metal bands go, and even the see titled wasn't terrible. Everything after that was a fucking mess. That's putting it kindly. Only in Amerika, Back 2 Base X, Insomnia, New World Orphans, Truth Rising,, Evolution, and Forever! are irredeemable messes, with each holding a single song that might be worth a damn. Stampede isn't much better but, at least it sounds like it was actually recorded in a studio. CANIROCK, was decent at best and it made me realize why I loved old school (hed) as a teenager. The autotune voice thing is weird, and a few years behind the curve I guess, but you have to give (hed) P.E. credit for never maintaining the same song and at least experimenting. Is this album good? No. Is it bad. Sure. But this isn't one of those bands anyone admits to liking either unless they are completely fucked up...and I listened to this album inebriated and I had fun, so I guess there's that. If you want some rock that will open you up to the depths of your soul, then eat some shrooms and pop in some Tool. If you want to get stoned or drunk or both and have some fun, hey, it's (hed) P.E. What do you expect?
