Screeching Weasel Some Freaks of Atavism
This album packs a wallop like a haymaker to the face from the top of a stage, and leaves you with the sting of an unexpected kidney shot. But seriously, this is by far Screeching Weasel's strongest release.
Slugdge Esoteric Malacology
I'm not really a metalhead, but this album is fantastic! Best metal album I have heard in a long while. The only thing I didn't
like was the melodic vocals, came off as cheesy.
Sparta Trust the River
This sounds more like a Jim Ward solo project, instead of a Sparta album, which is ok with me. It's more mellow, mature, and personal. I enjoyed the following tracks: Class Blue, Cat Scream, Turquoise Dream, Spirit Away, Miracle, Empty Houses
System of a Down Protect The Land/Genocidal Humanoidz
Teenage Bottlerocket Stay Rad
You can always count on Teenage Bottlerocket to knock out some good punk rock jams, and this album is no exception. One of my favorite bands at the moment.
The Bombpops Death in Venice Beach
Very good punk album. Enjoyed most songs. Their songwriting has progressed leaps since their last full length.
The Get Up Kids Red Letter Day/Woodson
The Get Up Kids On a Wire
The Get Up Kids Woodson
The Mars Volta Frances the Mute
The Mars Volta Octahedron
The Mars Volta Noctourniquet
The Suicide Machines Revolution Spring
In my opinion, this is their best album to date. Good mix of punk, hardcore and ska.
Tracks I liked: awkward always, babylon of ours, flint hostage crisis, to play caesar,
trapped in a bomb, eternal contrarian, well whiskey wishes, empty time, impossible
possibilities, simple, cheers to ya.

Interesting album. I hear blues, electronic, acid jazz, gospel, and hip hop influences in this album. Some works, some don't.rTracks I liked best: Connected By Love, Why Walk A Dog, Over and Over and Over, Respect Commander, Get in the Mind Shaft, Whats Done is Done, Humoresque. rThe other tracks were garbage or filler.

letlive. Fake History
MakeWar Get It Together
Solid album. The song "sails" is worthy to make the playlist. Didn't like "no mas" or "inmunda realidad". The rest of the songs are solid, but nothing great.
Millencolin SOS
Good listen, not a bad song on this album, however not much is great either. Millencolin has their formula down, and production adds a polished finish, but the songwriting leaves a bit to be desired. The songs need something that packs a punch and adds a unique feel to them. SOS is the best track on this album, and maybe the only one worthy of my playlist.
Moby Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt
Neil Young Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere
NOFX White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean
Pennywise All or Nothing
Red Hot Chili Peppers The Getaway
Red Hot Chili Peppers Unlimited Love
Solid album. Most songs are listenable, but only three are good enough for the playlist. Black Summer, It's Only Natural, and especially These Are The Ways.

2.5 average
AFI Decemberunderground
Alkaline Trio E.P.
Angel Olsen All Mirrors
Bayside Interrobang
The production is pretty fantastic on this album, and I feel this is a perfect example where production gets high scores over the actual content. I don't think the vocals are good, also I don't think the songs are inspiring or good with the exception of Heaven.
Bent Knee You Know What They Mean
Not that great. I don't know. Just lacking the "it" factor despite the amount of talent in this band. The songs don't grab me by the balls.
Black Peaks All That Divides
Cliffside Deeper Water
They are good at doing what has been done time and time again by a hundred bands before. Nothing original, nothing new, nothing worth your time.
Closure in Moscow Soft Hell
Cloud Nothings The Black Hole Understands
Cloudkicker Subsume (2020 Remaster)
Dance Gavin Dance Downtown Battle Mountain II (Instrumental)
I find this band to be overrated. Sounds generic to my ears.
Days N Daze Show Me The Blueprints.
Instrumentally at times it is good, other times it is way too busy with the hyper strumming. The male vocalist is basically doing an impression of Scott Sturgeon, and the female vocalist sounds like she is 11, and together it sounds like a Tiny Tunes themesong or something. The songwriting is pretty good on a few tracks like Ditches, Rewind, and None Exempt, the rest are easily skipped. I think this band has potential though, especially if they slow down and be more ballad based and medium paced, but the fast stuff is just way too much.
Deviant Process Nurture
Disclosure Moonlight
Even the Trees If Only Every Day Could Be Like This
It's the same generic vocals and guitar sounds that plagues this tired genre. Nothing original here.
Fleet Foxes Shore
Foo Fighters Concrete and Gold
Frankie Cosmos Vessel
Ghostface Killah Ghostface Killahs
Me Denny & Darryl is the only track that is good. The rest is pretty average.
Good Riddance A Comprehensive Guide to Moderne Rebellion
Guilt Trip (UK) Severance
Hail the Sun Divine Inner Tension
I can see why a lot of people would like this, but I don't. It's a voice we've heard a lot from other bands and a voice I would rather not hear again. Technical playing but no vibe or groove, a lot of studio tricks to make up for dull music.
Haley Heynderickx I Need to Start a Garden
HORSE the band R. Borlax
Hot Water Music No Division
I'm Glad It's You Every Sun, Every Moon
Iress Flaw
Jakub Zytecki Nothing Lasts, Nothing's Lost
Jeff Rosenstock NO DREAM
John Lennon Some Time in New York City
Jonsi Shiver
Exhale, Shiver, Grenade were the best tracks on this album. The rest were easily forgettable, in my opinion.
Knocked Loose A Tear in the Fabric of Life
Korn The Nothing
Local H Lifers
Malevolence The Other Side
Sounds like a copy and paste band, a sound that has been done over and over.
Meshuggah Immutable
Since Obzen, all of their songs have sounded the same. It makes it really hard to play attention to each song of the new album, because it's cookie-cutter Meshuggah. Bleed is practically the only song of Meshuggah's on my playlist, because it's all you need.
Mike Patton and Jean-Claude Vannier Corpse Flower
Besides Chansons D'Amour and Top of the World, the rest of the album does nothing for me besides bore me. Mike Patton's vocals are top notch as usual, the production was great, orchestra complimented the vocals well, but the songs weren't especially good, besides Chansons D'Amour.
Moon Safari Himlabacken Vol. 2
Motorpsycho The Crucible
Mountaineer Bloodletting
Movements No Good Left to Give
New Found Glory Forever + Ever x Infinity
Back when I was in high school, I thought their lyrics were tacky. Now they are grown men singing what sounds like lyrics written by a high school girl, extra tacky.
NOFX Heavy Petting Zoo
Pennywise Reason to Believe
Pennywise Never Gonna Die
Puscifer Existential Reckoning
Rancid Honor Is All We Know
Refused War Music
Refused The Malignant Fire
This band has really only had one good album, in my opinion, and that was the shape. The instruments rock at times, but the vocals and lyrics kinda ruin it for me.
Reggie and The Full Effect Last Stop: Crappy Town
Sadistik Haunted Gardens
Sadistik Delirium
Production is excellent. Enjoyed every track on this EP. Did not disappoint.
Sleepercar West Texas
A Broken Promise is a good song, possible playlist material, but the rest of the album is average.
Slick Shoes Rusty
Slick Shoes Wake Up Screaming
Somos Prison On A Hill
This is painfully average. Is not worthy of the high scores given by other users here.
Soundgarden Down on the Upside
Swingin' Utters Fistful Of Hollow
The Bathers Sirenesque
The Bombpops Fear of Missing Out
The Get Up Kids There Are Rules
The Get Up Kids Problems
I think this is another weak release by The Get Up Kids. With the exception of two tracks, Salina and Your Ghost is Gone, this album has lost the critical element that makes The Get Up Kids great. In my opinion, this release and every release since Guilt Show is easily forgettable. Guilt Show, Something to Write Home About, Red Letter Day & Woodson are still the go-to albums for me.
The Killers Pressure Machine
The Mars Volta Tremulant
The Menzingers Hello Exile
The Neighbourhood Chip Chrome & The Mono-Tones
The Ocean Phanerozoic II: Mesozoic | Cenozoic
The Parallel (CAN) Weaver
Drummer was the most impressive part of this band. But the vocals sound like a dozen of other bands, to the point that it has become the generic standard. The overall sound, beyond the drumming, is nothing unique. Glossy production isn't enough to convince me that this band is anything special.
The Strokes The New Abnormal
The Wants Container
The Winter Passing New Ways Of Living
Too cutesy. Too boring. Too uninteresting. Too bad.
Thurston Moore Spirit Counsel
Unwritten Law Here's to the Mourning
Unwritten Law Oz Factor
Villagers of Ioannina City Age of Aquarius
Vokonis Grasping Time
Warmen Here for None
Weezer OK Human
All My Favorite Songs, Numbers, Bird With a Broken Wing, Dead Roses are the only tracks that I enjoyed on this album, the rest were throwaways for me. I can appreciate when bands experiment with new sounds, and I think they nailed it on these four songs.
Western Addiction Frail Bray
Boring. Probably the lamest band on Fat Wreck. Always underwhelmed with each release.
Western Settings Another Year
Decent album to chill with, but none of the songs really stand out to me. They all kind of blur together. Nothing playlist worthy.

2.0 poor
Against Me! Reinventing Axl Rose
Birds in Row Gris Klein
This is a worse version of everything it is trying to emulate. Not good.
Cavalera Conspiracy Bestial Devastation
Chamber (USA) A Love to Kill For
God forbid a metal band actually try to be original these days. Give these guys a cliche gold medal.
Cursive Get Fixed
Fucked Up Dose Your Dreams
Unimpressed with this album, loved David Comes to Life. I think the amount of layers are overwhelming at this time, rendering most songs as white noise with yelling over it. Really couldn't find any songs that made me wanted me tap my toes or groove to.
Gone Is Gone Echolocation
Gone Is Gone If Everything Happens for a Reason...
Knope An Exercise In Patience
Kowloon Walled City Piecework

If you heard one of their songs, you have heard them all.
Sleepwalker (JPN) Skopofoboexoskelett
Listened to the entire thing, couldn't find anything that resembled a song.
Star Fucking Hipsters Never Rest In Peace
Their weakest release. No songs have made my playlist. From the Dumpster to the Grave is much better.
Teenage Wrist Still Love
Not feeling it. I hated it. Too poppy, shitty clean vocals, predictable.
Tyler, the Creator IGOR
Not good..........................................................................................................
Unwritten Law Blue Room
Wil Wagner Spiralling

1.5 very poor
All Them Witches Nothing as the Ideal
Avoid One Thing Chopstick Bridge
This album is considerably worse than their debut. Makes me wonder what happened to them, did they just use all their good ideas on the first album? Armbands and Braids is the only good song.
blink-182 Cheshire Cat
Cavalera Conspiracy Morbid Visions
Counterparts Nothing Left to Love
A tired sound in a tired genre. How many bands now sound exactly like this? 239? They all sound the same, especially the vocals. It's almost as cliche as the cookie monster vocals in death metal.
Counterparts A Eulogy for Those Still Here
Brutally cliche, brutally cookie cutter. Not a shred of originality here.
Darkbuster 22 Songs That You'll Never Want To Hear Again!
Elliott Smith Roman Candle
Very overrated album on this website. Not one song was good in my opinion. I do like some of Smith's music, but nothing on this album. Not good at all, but you can see the potential at least.
END (USA-NJ) The Sin of Human Frailty
Fiona Apple Fetch the Bolt Cutters
I listened to it when it was released, then listened to it again a while ago. Still sucks.
Gilla Band The Talkies
Hot Snakes Audit in Progress
Locktender Friedrich
Moaning Moaning
Moodring Your Light Fades Away
Mt. Oriander Then the Lightness Leaves and I Become Heavy Again
Cookie cutter vocals. Musically, meh. Recording quality is pretty good.
Novena The Stopped Clock
Sonic Youth Experimental Jet Set, Trash, and No Star
Sunken Livslede
Sunny Day Real Estate Flatland Spider
Tiny Moving Parts Swell
Guitar playing was excellent, but the vocals are of something you've heard a million times before which completely ruins any chance of being good. Lyrics are kinda lame too. Sounds like grown men singing lyrics written by a teenage girl.
Typhoon (USA-OR) Offerings
Someone of the instrument layering was interesting, but other than that, I found this album to be quiet boring and forgettable.
White Shape Perfect Dark

1.0 awful
A Continent Named Coma Removal of Thorns
This is pretty terrible. Sounds like 100 other bands, and I blame Thursday for all these terrible derivatives.
Action Bronson White Bronco
Starts off with the most annoying track, Dr. Kimble. And it doesn' get any better from there. You will hear a lot of hype noises like "ughs", "yays", and word repeats after every line, but these tend to be overused, distracting, and do not elevate the song in anyway. The tracks are noisy and the lyrics don't mesh well with the beats. Just seems like a lazy attempt just to "drop" a new album, as the kiddies say these days. And the lyrics mostly consist of drug abuse, sex, food, crime, and the life of being a fat disgusting gluttonous narcissist. His style is a blatant ripoff of Ghostface Killah, but his execution doesn't even come close. Just awful.
ACxDC Satan Is King
Adjy June Songs Vol. 1
Alpha Wolf A Quiet Place to Die
Auriferous Flame Ardor for Black Mastery

This is absolute garbo, not sure how people listen to this shit, or if they even do. I don't get it.
blink-182 Buddha
Capstan Restless Heart, Keep Running
Cara Neir Phase Out
Not sure why bands like this get overrated on sputnik. This is absolutely terrible.

Crown the Empire 07102010
This is what happens when grown men try to have menstrual cycles.
Crypta Shades of Sorrow
Dead and Dripping Blackened Cerebral Rifts
I clicked on the youtube vids, and clicked off a short time after. This is trash.
Dreamcatcher (KR) Raid of Dream
Exhalants Atonement
Frail Body A Brief Memoriam
Absolutely atrocious. Nothing here that hasn't been done 1000 times over. Formula is tired, let it go, and do something interesting.
Gatecreeper Deserted
First time hearing this band, and hopefully the last time. Trashbin worthy.
Geese 3D Country
Geld Beyond The Floor
Absolutely awful. Not sure how anyone could give a rating higher than a 1.
Godcollider Godcollider
Grandaddy Complex Party Come Along Theories
Horrendous Ontological Mysterium
Hot Mulligan You'll Be Fine
Haven't we heard enough of these cookie cutter bands? Sounds like 100 other cutesy pop rock bands that are supposedly "punk". The songs all sound like a variation of the same song. The whole whiny then full on scream then whiny again thing has grown so tired. Yawn. Pass. Trash.
How to Care for Flowers For a Brief Moment I Felt the Sun’s Warmth…
Jesus, this is so bad. Cookie cutter band producing a sound that has already been done time and time again.
Humanity's Last Breath Ashen
Cookie monster vocals. Guitars detuned to an incoherent rumbling mess that lack any hope of generating a catchy riff.
Ice Nine Kills The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood
If I Die First My Poison Arms
Whiny screamy emo cookie cutter vocals that we have heard from hundreds of bands. Nothing unique here, just more of the same.
Infant Island Beneath
Iron Reagan/Gatecreeper Split

Yikes. Terrible lyrics, cliche sound, and trying to look cute in the videos while boring their audience to sleep. Sounds like that overly concern themselves with trying to have a professional sound instead of an interesting one.
Toxic Holocaust Primal Future: 2019
Under The Pier Puff Pieces
This shit is awful. They sound like they have potential though, if they didn't write noise and chaos and actually wrote songs.
