It has an overly sterile quality to the production (in large because of the drum machine "Wendel") and one of the only mediocre tracks Steely Dan ever released, My Rival, but it's full of the interesting chord changes, lyrics, and grooves which define the Dan's sound. Babylon Sisters and Glamour Profession are especially outstanding tracks. Then you have the famous Hey Nineteen, which is like a futuristic spin on 50s music (foreshadowing Fagen's album The Nightfly). I like Third World Man too. One of the most melancholic tracks they ever did. Now, if only this album had The Second Arrangement or The Bear on it.Steely Dan The Royal ScamSteely Dan Katy Lied3.0 goodSteely Dan Everything Must GoSteely Dan Two Against Nature
