The album feels like an Early November night filled with fog and rustling leaves with Halloween decor still dangling homes and storefronts. My Propeller is a very weak song off of Humbug but it doesn't compare to the weakness of "Brick by Brick". One of the best parts of the album are the haunting choruses followed by clean vocals. A prime example of this is Crying Lightning where Alex chants "twisted and deranged...." and then this soon switches to a longer sentence followed by some guitar and then a completely different pathway to the song. As if the song is taking you towards a path. This album is by far my favorite by Arctic Monkeys, that being said though I wouldn't want them to delve back into this sound on their new album.
