First 4 tracks are amazing. Production, vocals and overall musicianship is on point, then "Follow Your Ghost", "Crush" and "Satellites" have some high points.rAs for Crush, I don't mind the experimentation, they've always liked to play around with electronic elements but I really hope they don't go that direction in the future...rI really wanted to review this but seeing the comments on SH's review made me change my mind real fast

Alter Bridge The Last Hero
Alter Bridge Live at the Royal Albert Hall Ft. Parallax Orch.
This album could of been something truly special but I don't think the band and the orchestra had much time to compose the songs. Instead it feels like a normal Alter Bridge concert with some background violins and other chords that add to the experience nonetheless. Seems like a missed opportunity but it is still a great live performance by the group.
Alter Bridge Live at the O2 Arena + Rarities
Such a consistent live band, specially Myles holding those high notes (sometimes too high sure). As always acoustic Watch Over You w/ Myles solo is an incredible display of vocal range and guitar playing. The band is very solid live even if this is not their best live album in my opinion, definitely a treat to any fan.

This is great, riffs and drums absolutely slay with some really cool attention to detail by the band. My only gripe is the lack of experimentation from the vocalist, kind of a one trick pony, would like there to be a little more emotion and/or vulnerability in his voice. But overall great project

Hey, deftones called, they want their sound back.rVery disjoint album, where the good stuff is actually great but then they transition between deftones Koi No Yokan era to a heavier sound and it feels unnatural and forced. Interesting release non the less.rRecommend: Two-Way Mirror, New Faces in the Dark, Is It Really You?, A Sad Cartoon and title track.

From sheer heaviness to the more shoegaze atmospheric stuff these guys are the real thing, I'm hoping they keep improving because I could definitely see this band be the next big thing when it comes to British alternative/hardcore. They also don't take themselves seriously at all, from the song titles and the lyrics and that just makes this even better.

Microwave have come out of the bleak grungy nihilism of Death is a Warm Blanket and ascended into an acceptance and appreciation of everything that seemed to fuel it.

Maybe an unfair score, there is nothing wrong with the album but there's also nothing fantastic about it. The song writing is a little too straight forward and cliche and sonically it's nothing that Myles hasn't done better before.

That being said vocally Myles is great and his guitar playing is on point, super talented guy but would like to see him leave his comfort zone or go back to his jazzier or grungier roots ala Mayfield Four.

I used to really like these guys, so far this album is not doing anything for me. The band is definitely missing some personality or at least willingness to experiment or do anything remotely interesting. That being said it is, as always, very consistent vocally and the band's autopilot seems to be in gear.

Despite some good moments, specially Freefall (which is Northane going full Architects), but the album overall is pretty boring specially lyrically. The electronic components of the tracks don't do anything good for their sound, it just shows a lack of imagination, making it seem like they wrote a boring album realised it and tried to "bring me the horizon" it.
