Alter Bridge The Last Hero |
Alter Bridge Live at the Royal Albert Hall Ft. Parallax Orch. |
This album could of been something truly special but I don't think the band and the orchestra had much time to compose the songs. Instead it feels like a normal Alter Bridge concert with some background violins and other chords that add to the experience nonetheless. Seems like a missed opportunity but it is still a great live performance by the group. |
Alter Bridge Live at the O2 Arena + Rarities |
Such a consistent live band, specially Myles holding those high notes (sometimes too high sure). As always acoustic Watch Over You w/ Myles solo is an incredible display of vocal range and guitar playing. The band is very solid live even if this is not their best live album in my opinion, definitely a treat to any fan. |
Architects Daybreaker |
Architects The Here and Now |
Architects Hollow Crown |
Architects The Sky, the Earth & All Between |
Atm this feels like their best since Holly Hell, downsides are definitely the lyrics (for the most part) not being up to par with their older stuff and some of Fish's influences being too prominent. rOn the other hand album is a pleasant surprise, some tracks are great and others fall flat for different reasons, first half definitely feels stronger despite Broken Mirror being a sleeper hit. Judgement day could of been good but the chorus is terrible |

This is great, riffs and drums absolutely slay with some really cool attention to detail by the band. My only gripe is the lack of experimentation from the vocalist, kind of a one trick pony, would like there to be a little more emotion and/or vulnerability in his voice. But overall great project |

Microwave have come out of the bleak grungy nihilism of Death is a Warm Blanket and ascended into an acceptance and appreciation of everything that seemed to fuel it.
As a result, this doesn't compare to their previous outing both sonically and lyrically, but LSD definitely has some highlights and might appeal to audience they didn't before |

Myles Kennedy The Ides of March |
Maybe an unfair score, there is nothing wrong with the album but there's also nothing fantastic about it. The song writing is a little too straight forward and cliche and sonically it's nothing that Myles hasn't done better before.
That being said vocally Myles is great and his guitar playing is on point, super talented guy but would like to see him leave his comfort zone or go back to his jazzier or grungier roots ala Mayfield Four. |
Myles Kennedy The Art Of Letting Go |
The best moments here are definitely the more striped down moments, where Myles voice and guitar play really shine and are at the forefront of the tracks. On the other hand, Myles seems to go into Alter Bridge territory a little too much and those are the moments where this loses me a little.
I haven't fully set on a score for this but it was an overall better experience then the previous album but lacks the impact of the first |

I used to really like these guys, so far this album is not doing anything for me. Every "rock" song here is almost good, it's so overproduced yet banking on nostalgia.. the random shorter tracks feel completely out of place and don't add anything to the album
Darkside is still probably the best cut in this and they've managed to get Glassjaw and Underoath to feature which are highlights in their respective tracks but can't really save them. Limousine is a decent Deftones worship with a sprinkle of the Dune soundtrack for extra randomness |

Despite some good moments, specially Freefall (which is Northane going full Architects), but the album overall is pretty boring specially lyrically.
