This entire album switches between two styles of music: rousing pop anthems destined for radio success like the song Shape of you and snoozy ballads destined for rotation in the aisles of your local CVS like his song Dive. His new album was already breaking just one day after Ed decided to release it. Divide sold more copies in one day (232,000) than any other artists album did in a week in 2016. In the Albums opening week on Spotify, he broke their best "one day" streams for an artist at over 68 million streams breaking the former record of 40.3 million set by The Weekend. Back in March his album topped the charts in the United States and since then has topped charts in 13 other countries. After being released almost two months ago Ed Sheerans' Divide album is set to break even more records as it is still a popular album in the United States. This is an album that I would recommend to people as it shows two sides to the way Ed writes music. Some songs show emotion whereas others are meant for people to tap their feet too.
