5.0 classic
A Perfect Circle Thirteenth Step
Between the Buried and Me Coma Ecliptic
The Dear Hunter Violet

4.5 superb
A Perfect Circle Eat the Elephant
Artificial Language The Observer
Very entertaining and engaging all of the way through. Some of the orchestral elements of production show their digital selves here and there but aside from that the production is spot on. This is probably my favorite album of 2017 and its their debut. The band is definitely going to have a hard time following this up but I am excited nevertheless. Definitely worth an addition to your library.
Avenged Sevenfold The Stage
Bear Ghost Your Parents Are Only Marginally Disappointed In..
Excellent listen. Very fun from beginning to end with a lot of musical and instrumental complexities to sink your teeth into. 12 Years Howled is an odd change of pace towards the end which brings the score down but overall its one of the most memorable releases I've listened to and it constantly finds its way back into my rotation of music.
Between the Buried and Me Automata I
Fantastic album from beginning to end. There's a hole when you finish it like an act 2 should come in and I assume that's where Automata II sits. It brings the heaviness that was missed from Coma Ecliptic without losing the technicalities and finesse that made it so great. Definitely getting some Great Misdirect vibes but this is a stellar entry in their discography.
The Dear Hunter All Is As All Should Be
The Dear Hunter The Migrations Annex
The Family Crest The War: Act I
This album takes what made Beneath The Brine great, cut what made it tacky, added loads of musicianship, and cranked up the production value quite a bit. Contender for album of the year since every strong stands well on their own merits.

4.0 excellent
Ice Nine Kills The Silver Scream
Sufferer Sufferer
Such a short but fun listen though Chapters 8-10 sound weaker than those before. Probably due to it being immediately after the beautifully depressing Chapter VII/Nocturne. Any hard rock/metalcore fans really need to give this a listen.
The Dear Hunter Orange
The Dear Hunter Live

3.5 great
Davey Suicide Made from Fire

2.0 poor
Asking Alexandria Asking Alexandria
Overall pretty boring but has some fun songs on it. Just feels like a weak return after for Danny since From Death to Destiny (which is still my favorite album by these guys)
Motionless in White Graveyard Shift

1.5 very poor
Escape the Fate Chemical Warfare
Oh my god this is the first Escape the Fate record I couldn't make it all the way through. I genuinely liked Ungrateful but man they nosedived hard afterwards. Every track feels boring and empty. It's like they don't know if they want to be a metalcore band or a pop outfit. By the time I got halfway through I had the call it quits from a feeling of just repulsion
