I've been a Sadistik fan for a while, but this easily surpassed any expectations I had. This album is a treasure chest of clever wordplay and the production is unreal. On this album Sadistik delves into a deep existential crisis using religious imagery, insects, and powerful allusions that create a mood heavier than any of his earlier work. The way that he using juxtaposing moods of super dark songs like Roaches Or Cotard's Syndrome with the soft, epic beauty of Kaleidoscope without losing any consistency is a real restatement to Sadistik's album writing skills. Altars is heavy, unadulterated and is easily one of the most powerful rap albums I've ever heard. I have no doubt that this will be my AOTY for 2017 and will be I. Rotation for a long time to come. All hail!
