That being said, I believe that Crack the Skye is a modern classic, so that's a good thing. I don't think that any Mastodon Lyrics will be able to top "Spiraling up through the crack in the Sky // Leaving material world behind // I see your face in constellations // the martyr is ending his life for mine" from "The Czar", but EoS is definitely a lyrically strong album. The instrumentals are just magical. Probably the best Mastodon Album behind Crack the Skye and Leviathan.
