Certainly a step in a more creative and thoughtful direction than Extremist. Style is all over the
place, which perhaps makes it the most interesting listen since The World is a Thorn. The lyrics
here are stronger than the previous couple of releases, presenting themselves in a more nuanced
and poetic manner that harkens back to their best and earliest works.

Unfortunately, the vocal performance from Mr. Clark leaves a lot to be desired here--and the loud
and highly filtered production does little to help. In general, the album suffers from a general
stiffness and lack of passion which diminishes the impact of the album's highlights.

Not their greatest effort, but if they continue to stretch and challenge their formula as they did
here, we could be in for an excellent follow up effort.
