Uyama Hiroto A Son of the Sun
Great debut from Hiroto. First three tracks in particular are stellar and I feel that he was able to create a more cohesive album than any of Nujabes earlier works. There are a couple of tracks (mainly Nightwood and Stratus) that I think would have been stronger if Hiroto trimmed them down to half their length. The interludes feel a bit too rudimentary compared to the rest of the album, to the point where I suspect that he whipped them up to pad out the track list. However, I still love the chillhop sound that Uyama carried over from Nujabes' work and his sax riffs in many of the tracks help him work towards more jazz-focused beats compared to his contemporaries. Also, like Nujabes, Hiroto does a excellent job leading the listener into the end of the album with the last 2-3 tracks, which I always appreciate. Definitely check out his next two albums, I think he's really improved with each successive release.

Kendrick Lamar Overly Dedicated
Kendrick Lamar DAMN.
It felt like Kendrick wanted to release an angrier and more political record soon after the election (which is understandable), without a strong concept tying every single song together like his last two albums. As a result, a few instrumentals feel half-baked and the record doesn't feel as compelling to listen to in one sitting. However, Kendrick himself sounds great everywhere (except maybe the singing on ELEMENT) and most of the tracks are enjoyable to listen to on their own.
Kendrick Lamar untitled unmastered.

The Seatbelts Cowboy Bebop Remixes: Music for Freelance
Damn, what's with all the low scores? Of course it isn't going to measure up to the
original OST's and the skits are a little asinine, but these are consistently solid
remixes. They're all just going for a kind of electronic and atmospheric vibe. The Tank!
remix sounds pretty similar but with more of a Jet Set Radio flavor, for example. While
others like the Cat Blues and Space Lion remix sound much different, but manage to
capture the spirit of the original tracks.

Corey Feldman Angelic 2 The Core
I was too amused by Feldman's earnestness to create a grand double album and I was in hysterics throughout most of it, so I can't say that it was "teh worst music ive ever heard" or that "it made me wanna die". But this is a truly abysmal album that just ruins every genre it tries to emulate, so I have to give it the lowest possible rating. Music like this should not exist.redit: nah this is pretty funny
