5.0 classic
Coldworld Autumn
When most of melodic black metal bands use the same chord progressions, the same tricks and the same arrangements, Coldworld engage beautiful and original melodies, plus ethereal arrangements and rich dynamics. This is the definition of flawless shoegaze/melodic black metal... Instant Classic
Hail Spirit Noir Mayhem In Blue
This is simply as good as it gets. Modern black metal with lots of psychedelia and progressive elements. Imagine Pink Floyd and Portishead jamming with Darkthrone. Even so, the band still sounds 100% original. Trippy to the core, well done you Greeks!
Hail Spirit Noir Eden In Reverse
Retro-futuristic prog/psychedelic metal/rock. What more should we want? Once again HSN craft an
album that deviates and redefines the genre (even though we don't really know what genre...)
In Vain (NO) Aenigma
In Vain (NO) Currents
Oranssi Pazuzu Värähtelijä
These Finnish bastards have written the perfect album...WTF...If you are into psychedelic you will
simply be amazed. Every song is ideally constructed and the album is 100% solid. Hail Spirit Noir
and Oranssi Pazuzu are the masters of extreme psychedelia. Aluk Todolo are also pointing at the
right direction but composition wise, their music lacks a bit of essence. Regarding Oranssi,
nothing less than 5/5 would fit
The Night Flight Orchestra Sometimes The World Ain't Enough

4.5 superb
Aenaon Hypnosophy
Coldworld Melancholie²
Cult of Luna Vertikal
David Bowie Blackstar
Hail Spirit Noir Pneuma
Hail Spirit Noir Oi Magoi

Oranssi Pazuzu Muukalainen Puhuu
Soilwork Verkligheten
It feels like The Night Flight Orchestra went Death Metal. The two bands come together album after album. Damn awesome both of them. Melodies are topnotch

Furia Ksiezyc milczy luty
No Clear Mind Makena
Soilwork The Ride Majestic
Sweven (SWE) The Eternal Resonance
even better than Morbus Chron, this one was boring at first but then became a huge grower. Changes of tempo are phenomenal, drums sound awesome. The first melody of the album, the acoustic guitar one, has become a huge earworm
The Ocean Phanerozoic I: Palaeozoic
Ulver Blood Inside
Ulver ATGCLVLSSCAP

3.5 great

Agatus The Eternalist
Sylvaine Atoms Aligned, Coming Undone
Just another post rock album with black metal vocals, nothing fresh and extrordinary here in terms of composition.

2.0 poor
Saor Guardians
Ulcerate Shrines of Paralysis
Ulver The Assassination of Julius Caesar

1.0 awful
Arch Enemy Will to Power
It is like Justin Bieber ordered a producer to write a metal album for him. This is pure Jistin Bieber metal, thus pure garbage. Offensively bad.
