Peter Fox Stadtaffe
Incredible german rap/hip-hop/dancehall album featuring excellent instrumentation and production. Very high quality lyricism and thought provoking, Peter Fox made an album that is somewhat of a modern masterpiece. The album was both critically and commercially highly successful. Unfortunately, this huge amount of success led him to quit the project after only one album. Even if you don't speak German, this is probably one of the best introductions to German music.

While i would not consider this a departure from their debut, the album contains 9 very strong and rifftastic tracks. There's quite a bit of dynamic within each song and it never gets boring. Will (the vocalist) excels the most on here, along with the drums being quite intricate. Give this a shot!

If you want clever german hip-hop without any cliches, but with great wordplay and slick delivery, this is the album to go to. It gets very dark on some tracks (Amys Weinhaus & Seit dem Tag als Michael Jackson starb) and contemplative on others (Wie Mach Ich Dir Das Klar & Sekundenschlaf, which features the german rap icon Peter Fox). Definitely his best album as of now.

Vennart To Cure A Blizzard Upon A Plastic Sea
This is like a mix between the first solo album and some more overt Oceansize-style cuts. Diamond Ballgag could have easily been on Effloresce. My expectations were fully met!
Vennart Copeland EP
Instrumentally speaking, this is probably the closest they've ever been to an Oceansize sound. One can get easily lost in the soundscapes from this EP (in terms of their more post rocky offerings). The only track with vocals is "Terrors", which revives the catchy and optimistic sound of The Demon Joke, which the companion album (To Cure A Blizzard Upon A Plastic Sea) only does occasionally.
Vennart In The Dead, Dead Wood
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Serenade No. 13 in G Major, K.525
Yoshihisa Hirano & Hideki Taniuchi Death Note Original Soundtrack
Superb. If you dig Godspeed You!, Mogwai, Russian Circles and similar artists, you will love most of this album. Has also an orchestral and electronical/minimalistic touch to it, which makes it all the more suiting to an epic story like Death Note.

This is pretty dope. For the most part, you can expect space rock akin to the self-titled days of Amplifier, and the vocalist has a very interesting tonality to his singing. Thief is my favorite song on this, so for a start i would recommend listening to that

This was really refreshing. Unlike Man Plans this album is more of a throwback to 2007-2012 era PE (think of a more modern approach of their original style) and production improved quite a bit. Chuck D is once again on fire and delivers quite a lot of thoughtful lines. Among the guests is Ice T, who contributes a nice verse.rAs of now, the album is free to download on their new Bandcamp page. rGo try it out! Recommended.
